Chapter 416: Making A House A Home, Part 1

Three minutes. That's how long it would take to determine the rest of my life. I'd either get my ultimate dream of being a mom, or I wouldn't.

I paced my room, chewing nervously on my fingernails as I waited three agonizingly long minutes. My hands trembled, and my legs were wobbly, but there was no way I could sit still. Nerves fluttered from my stomach to my chest and back again.

More than anything, I wanted to be pregnant. But I didn't want to do this without Trent. He should be here right now, pacing beside me. Or sitting on the bed, smiling, telling me to calm down. We should be experiencing this moment together, because it was literally a once in a lifetime moment. I would never take another pregnancy test like this. I'd never have to wonder and worry and fight to tamper the hope threatening to erupt inside of me.
