"What's going on?" I asked, glancing between the three of them.
"I'm trying to get them to see reason," Ivy said.
"She's trying to rewrite the blood oath," Isach said, his tone full of fury and disgust.
My eyes widened. "Can she do that?" I asked Isach, trusting only him to answer me honestly.
"Yes," he said through clenched teeth. "With the extenuating circumstances, she can rewrite the terms."
"How? Whatever the new terms are, I don't agree to them," I said, crossing my arms. "And I won't honor them."
"That doesn't matter," Isach said, dragging his hand through his hair. "A key party to the oath can't fulfill his promise, therefore, the entire oath and all other parties involved are bound to whatever new terms the casting witch decides."
