Trent sat back down, took my hand, and kissed my knuckles. He gave me an encouraging nod, and I took a deep breath, drawing strength from his presence.


"Yes," I said. "I've already done enough damage to the house, and I don't want to accidentally hurt or kill someone because I can't control my magic. I want it gone." I rested my free hand protectively on my belly.


"We don't know if she'll even have these abilities once the baby is born," Trent said. "And we know for certain they'll disappear once I change her. So, why not just take care of them now? It will be safer for everyone that way." He gave my hand a reassuring squeeze.


"All right." Isach nodded. "If that's really what you want, then I'll bind your magic. It won't take too long. I can do it right now, actually."
