Chapter 446: A Meeting of Mind and Power, Part 1

"Well, I certainly underestimated you two, didn't I?" Ivy said, her gaze lowering to our clasped hands, then back to our faces. "I'm glad you're home safe, Trenton."

"No you're not," he said. "You're just glad I'm around to help break the curse."

Ivy shrugged but didn't attempt to argue with him. I rolled my eyes. She really didn't care what happened to any of us as long as the curse was broken, and she regained the power she'd lost to the Zoya for so many years.

Trent tugged on my hand, and I followed him into the living room. Someone had dragged a few of the dining room chairs in here, and I claimed one for myself. My mind was still reeling from all Trent had told me upstairs. Not to mention, my insides were trembling from Trent's kiss against the bite mark. I really wanted to kick everyone out and drag him up to bed.

"Why did you call us here?" Jax asked, arms crossed.
