Chapter 449: Thanksgiving, Part 2

It was officially thanksgiving, and the house was bustling with activity. Jax was in the kitchen, and he'd effectively kicked everyone out except me and Larissa, who had proven her worth when she'd shared her family's secret recipe for stuffing.

Dad, Trent, Sean, Colt, and Wyatt were very loudly and animatedly discussing sports in the living room. Whitney was entertaining Little Frank while I set the table. Early this morning, to my horror, I had realized it wasn't big enough to seat fourteen people. Trent had called Sean and asked him to bring an extra table. At the time, that solution had seemed a tad ridiculous, but it actually worked well.

I covered both tables with one long cloth, then began setting the plates, glasses, napkins, and silverware. In that moment, I wished I had a nice set of china for these types of occasions. Trent and I hadn't done a wedding registry, nor had we asked for gifts, so no one had bought us a set. We should do that, though. Together.
