"She's here," Trent whispered, his hand breezing across my lower back as he walked past me on his way to the kitchen.
I turned to look at him, and he winked. Everyone else was already here, so "she" could only mean one person. Excitement erupted in my chest, and I rushed toward the front door, flinging it open before she had a chance to step foot on the porch.
"Ellie!" I squealed and dashed outside to meet her.
She greeted me with a bear hug that lasted a lot longer than it probably needed to, but I'd missed her like crazy, and I wouldn't have cared if we stood like this all night.
"I have missed you so much," Ellie said, squeezing a little tighter. "We have so much to catch up on." She released me and took a step back. Her eyes widened. "Oh, my God. Chloe! You're pregnant?"
Unable to contain my smile, I nodded and rubbed my belly. "Almost four months," I said.
