Jeannie is called to her mother's bedside where she lies dying. She cannot avoid the interactions with her siblings and the secrets that lay. Her mother, Sara, has a past that would explain all but only the reader can see deep within the past to understand the secrets and why they are the way they are. A story of family drama and secrets.

The Black Sheep

Once someone dies, the preparations to send away formally is started immediately. It stars with the coroner being summoned to retrieve the body. It is removed from the sight of all family and caretakers. Family goes home for a little sleep. While they are doing that, the mortician takes over if an autopsy is not required. The next day as the family talking with the funeral home about clothes, flowers, and the service as well as the announcement that will be sent out to newspapers and radio. Family and friends are called so they don’t hear it through the media. Closets are searched for appropriate clothes for a funeral. During that time, family either comes together to support each other or they rip each other’s throats out. My family prefers the later.
