Deven sat in his office all hail and mighty. The sight of him was so glamorous, anyone who had a view would be totally awestruck but at the same time terrified. He looked like a thousand lighting bolts had stricken him. The atmosphere surrounding him was so tense and the aura he emated was one of danger and pure bloodlust.
Never!
Never in his years of existence had he been so insulted. To think that it was a mere woman, not some a hail and mighty man but a mere woman who was the most fragile of all creatures.Being honest with himself, he might not as well as taken it if it was a man as that individual would be considered dead, but a woman? Not just any woman, actually the most frail looking creature he'd ever seen.

Knock! Knock!
"It's open!"Deven called from the other side knowing fully well who it was.It could be none other than him as he'd clearly warned all employees to keep away from his office. Everyone was well aware of his sullen mood and they'd know better than to waltz into the lion's den.
"Hey dude, what's up!"Damian greeted enthusiastically which made Deven somewhat sick.
It was said"Opposites attract." The same had been applicable for them as they were two contrasting personalities.
Damian was a complete opposite of Deven and being honest with himself, he was beginning to get sick of Damian's carefree attitude.
"Whoa bro, what's the matter? What's got you brisket in a basket?" Damian questioned now enveloped by Deven's chilling aura.
"The deal didn't go through." Was all he said simply, aiming his focus on something else other than the fiasco at Louis corp.
Damian put on a more serious guise now, noticing this was no joke time.
"Why didn't you go through with the deal? What happened? There must be a reason you rejected them because I'm a hundred and one percent sure you were keen on collaborating with Louis as that would have earned you more profit and enable the advertisement of the company's new product so... What changed?"
"I decided not to go through with it, it's as simple as that. It's not as if I'll lose much by not going through with a dumb collaboration so I really don't mind." He replied with a shrug.
"I received a call from Cain today."he added changing the topic.
Damian decided it best not probing into the matter any longer and just went with the flow.
"Oh really! What about?" Damian questioned enthusiastically.
"District M. The hypothesis of possible inhabitants in that district turned out false. He said he's searched and scanned the place and is seriously doubting if..." He paused, deliberating if he should continue or much rather forget about it.
"Speak up Dev, Go on. Damnit!" He cursed exasperatedly.
"There hasn't been any records of vamps in that district let alone a trace. It turns out they've all been extinct."
