Drunk. Leona Sandersmith was definitely drunk! Why else would she be talking like a five-year-old without filters?

“Why do you have to be so handsome?!” Leona hiccuped and pointed a finger at him. “If you didn’t kidnap me and make me clean the toilet or sleep in the janitor's closet, I would have liked you a lot better.”

No, it was still too risky to let her know that he was her reader. The crime lord decided to play it safe. However, knowing that she did not completely hate him despite his initial mistreatment made Ignatius feel slightly better inside. No reader could take it if their favourite author hated them.

“What else did you dislike?” he asked cautiously, signalling for the waiter to replace her alcohol with juice.
