Pilot 2/10

Cody sprinted in the direction of the screaming. There he spotted two girls who were fighting for their lives. One of the girls swung their baseball bat which sent the walker into another walker. The rotting corpse lifted it's head up.

The walker's left eye was hanging because of the impact the baseball bat and the girl's strength did. "DANI DO YOU HAVE ANYMORE ARROWS LEFT?" one of the girls hollered, the girls seemed to have knowledge about walkers. Who wouldn't? It's been a gnarly 5 years.

All Dani could do was nod before she grabbed an arrow from her quiver, Dani locked the arrow in place with her bow. "Peace asswipe." Dani grunted before firing, the arrow swerved and entered the walker's skull, the walker backed up and fell.

"Annabelle to your left!" Dani called out as soon as a walker swung it's arms at her, Annabelle let out a squeal but Cody came in at the right time and swung his dual blades right at its arms. Both of the walkers' arms fell down.

Dani stared at Cody and watched in amazement, during her time of hardships and challenges no one has really helped her. But this stranger did, why? Dani didn't have time to debate due to the hungry flesh eating corpses.

Annabelle swung her baseball bat once again, a loud crack was heard. The walker fell onto the pavement with blood dripping down like a river after a rainy day.

The walker whom Cody dismembered turned its head lazily towards Cody, the walker lifted both of their stumps. It was trying so hard to get its first meal in months? Days? Weeks? Cody didn't care about what a mindless creature wanted.

Cody brung one of the dual blades down, the walker didn't move anymore. He lifted the dual blade up and watched the walker fall. "Hey dude. I need some help here!" Dani hissed and aimed her bow, she let go of the string and watched the arrow fly right through a walker's head. They were likely more decayed as the others which is why Dani could have got the arrow clean through. "Bullseye!"

Cody rushed over and kicked a crawler. A crawler is a walker that doesn't have the ability to walk. Blood splattered on the car that was closeby, the blood dribbled down on the road.

The crawler tried to move but Cody finished it off by stomping on its head. "Goodbye." he muttered and watched Annabelle and Dani take care of the rest.

Annabelle spun the baseball around, the blood on the baseball bat went up in the air and splattered on Cody's mask. She turned around and looked at Cody "So… who exactly are you?" she asked, Dani facepalmed.

"You've never been good at introducing yourself/or first impressions." Dani gestured at Cody's mask. Cody just stood there. Annabelle raised her eyebrows. "EHHHH? WHAT DO YOU MEAN THAT I'VE NEVER BEEN GOOD AT FIRST IMPRESSIONS?!" Annabelle cried out.

Dani looked at her. "Take a good look at him." Annabelle looked at Cody and noticed the blood on his mask and then she looked at her baseball bat. The realization hit and she panicked. "I-I-I'M SORRY. I DIDN'T NOTICE! She stammered.

Cody laughed and wiped the blood off of his mask. "It's alright. No need to worry." Dani didn't smile. "I'm Dani and this is my dumb sister Annabelle." Dani introduced herself. "D-DUMB?" she yelled. "Yes dumb." Dani argued and stomped her right foot.

He noticed that there were many differences between the sisters, personality and look wise. Annabelle had long brown hair, green eyes. She was a little taller than her sister. Around 5 feet and 4 inches. Annabelle didn't only have a baseball bat. She also had a small pistol which looked like it wouldn't be enough for a group of 5 walkers. Dani had short brown hair, green eyes and she looked to be around 5 feet and 1 inches. Dani had a bow and a military grade knife with some interesting carvings on the handle.

"We need to get out of the open." Dani grumbled. "I'm Cody. Nice to meet you." he gave a gentle smile. "And I agree, Dani." he spoke and yawned. "My sister and I have been holding up in that apartment building over there." Dani pointed at a worn down apartment building, it looked like it got hit by a bomb at the beginning so he was doubting if it was even safe for them.

"Okay." Cody spoke and went over. Dani opened the door. "Welcome to our mandatory home."

Annabelle dropped her backpack and jumped right on a dusty couch. "WOOOO. Today has been exhausting." she lifted her legs up and plopped them on the couch arms.

Cody sat down on the other couch, the couch he was on was much smaller. Dani looked at Annabelle and sighed. "Can you leave me some room?" She lowered her backpack. "How about nooooo!" Annabelle grinned and shut her eyes. "Don't wake me up."

Dani looked at Cody. "Can I sit next?" Cody nodded and scootched as far as he could. Dani sat down. "Why do you wear a mask?" Dani asked.

"I don't like the way I look." Cody spoke and Dani looked at him. "It's the apocalypse no one's going to judge you anymore." she chuckled.

"What's our story?" Cody asked. Dani frowned and Cody waved his arms. "Unless you don't want to tell me!"

"No, no. It's fine. I will tell you.." Dani grinned. "But in return I want to see you!" she nudged him. He nodded in agreement. "Back when the apocalypse started me and my family were held at a camp with others. We got lucky but soon enough 5 months later we got raided by bandits. Everyone except me and Annabelle died. My family died before the raid. It was just us for a while till you came. We have come across people before but they weren't the nicest people. So now… will you take off that damned mask? I feel awkward talking to someone that won't show their face."

Cody reached for the back of his mask and took it off. Dani smiled. "See. it wasn't that hard. Anyways I need to hunt for some squirrel or maybe even a deer. Want to come with me?" she asked and Cody nodded. "But is it okay if I can wear my mask?"

Dani nodded. 'Let's go."
