The weekend ended quickly, and it was Monday again.
Lea was not so optimistic about school, merely because of her fear. She feared Aldrin would be saying a different story today, also he didn't make any contact with her since they parted ways on Saturday. She didn't message him either, she didn't want to seem as clingy or something.
But what she didn't expect was him waiting for her with his friends by the school entrance. When she got near them she found herself nervous, her heart beating fast. Her face was heating up with embarrassment, her hands were drenched in sweat.
How can she not act this way? The guy was staring at her from the moment she got to school. Lea looked down and walked faster. She planned to walk by as if she was air, she didn't dare to look at those guys.
"Lea?" just as she was passing by, Aldrin called her name. "Shit..." she whispered a curse but stopped walking "Yes!" she replied.
"What are you doing?" he asked her teasingly. "Going inside," answered Lea, with shyness.
"So, you're not gonna greet us?" this time he sounded closer than before. Lea fidgeted with her hands, she was so nervous. Her heart was beating faster than normal, she felt her back getting wet with sweat.
"Lea, why are you so nervous?" he whispered in her ear. "Ahhh..." Lea screamed in shock. She jumped and lost her balance, she almost fell face down but Aldrin caught her.
She felt his forearm wrapping around her tiny waist. She started to shiver with excitement when she felt the sparks enclosing themselves around her as if they were part of her skin.
Her back was against his muscled chest and his heartbeat was like a drum, beating against her back. She came to realise their hearts beat as one. It was a surreal feeling and it somehow made her feel assured. She was sure he was serious about her.
The looks their peers were giving them were differentiated in their expressions. Some were amused, some were envious, others were admiring the couple. While most of them were straight out confused.
Lea couldn't help herself but lean in. It was as if she wanted to be one with him. However, not long after she did so, she remembered they're in school and she shouldn't behave this way.
"Thank you!" she said shyly. "You're welcome," answered Aldrin with a grin on his face.
Lea broke free from his arms with much difficulty, she suspects it was because he could tell she was becoming uncomfortable with all the stares.
She proceeded with her journey to the school hall. She walked to her locker with a bit of annoyance. She was annoyed at all of these people looking at her as if they never saw a girl in a boys arms. Perhaps it was because she was the one in the arms of a boy.
Am I that ugly? She found herself being insecure again but she was determined to trust Aldrin.
"That was quite a show to watch," teased Lucas. "Shut up," seethed Lea.
"Oddly you guys looked so perfect together," commented Jammie. "It was as if you guys belong together, the picture was so alluring it made me jealous," he said with a frown.
Laughed Lucas, while Lea just looked at Jammie with a surprising look.
"Are you serious?" she asked confused and happy at the same time. She liked it when he said they looked perfect together as if they were meant to be.
"Yeah." he answered seriously "How funny? You don't know you're really beautiful?" he asked with his eyebrows raised.
"Stop fluttering me, Jammie," said Lea with a shy smile. Who didn't like compliments?

"What was that?" asked one girl with a frown on her face.
"Yeah, that was weird," said another with disdain.
"Perhaps they are dating. It was Aldrin who went after her." said another with confusion in her voice.
"That's not possible. That bitch must have seduced him. How dare she?" commented the first girl.
"Are you serious? He wouldn't fall for her seduction. I mean he still didn't react to our advances. How can a dimwit like her win his favour?" said girl number two in anger.
"You are right, that bitch is nothing compared to us. He would never fall for her. He was just being nice to her, nothing else." number three tried to convince herself and the other two.
These girls were pissed the guy they liked chose a girl they use to bully. It was no secret many girls in school liked Aldrin, but they never stood a chance. So, it was very embarrassing for them that Lea was the one chosen.
They resorted to saying mean things behind her back, just to comfort themselves.
Lea was not aware of the loath she was receiving. Though she wouldn't be surprised if she were to be confronted by the girls. She was worried about her safety, but she was sure they will not act up in school because Aldrin was there.

The school carried on, as usual, the only odd thing. Julia was not in school and those minions of hers were keeping to themselves. They were really quiet and they even seemed timid.
"What do you think is wrong with Jackie and Emalia?" asked Lea.
"I am not sure, but I heard Julia screwed up at their community and is now being punished," replied Lucas.
"The girl is crazy, some people saw her as being a bully. However, she showed psychotic signs. All the things she did, were inhuman," commented Jammie.
Lucas looked at this new friend they made, and he was surprised by his cleverness.
"You're bright." he complimented.
He was not sure how many knew Julia was not normal but she was good at acting.
She was one selfish she-wolf and the things she did, were quite unreasonable. People just thought she was a violent person but failed to notice she enjoyed inflicting pain. It was as if she wanted to hurt everyone, to make herself happy.
She grovelled on others misery.
"I guess we will get some peace here after all," Lea said. "Do you know how long she will have to be out of school?" she asked.
Lucas looked at her with some unknown look, she felt there was a meaning behind it, but he was not going to explain it.
It was very frustrating sometimes to be Lucas's friend, he had some secrets he couldn't share, however, Lea was used to it.
"Fine, I guess you cannot tell," she said with annoyance evident in her voice.
"I am sorry Lea. I am sure you will know everything in no time. Just be a little patient," he pleaded.
"I hate it when someone says that to me. It just makes me more curious," commented Jammie.
Lucas glared at him as he felt this friend was making things worse.
"Unfortunately, dear friend. This is our daily lives. He has more secrets than I can imagine. I have learned to accept him as he is. I can only believe he is not some serial killer, otherwise, I would be his accomplice in other people's eyes," sighed Lea in contempt.
