The Royal Hospital 2.

"I was telling her to put Mrs Veronica in a coma, so I can try and heal her. I also advise we can make contact with the Greens to ask for the twins help. You know with their gifts they can help with draining the poison in her body. Once we detoxify her, it will be easier for her to survive mom. She just needs at least 6 months in a coma and she won't feel any more pain."

Gina looked at her son in astonishment. Why didn't she think of this?

"You think this is possible?" asked Gina in happiness.

"Of course, there is an 80% chance of survival. I can take off the shackles of her feet and wrists. But I want this done when she is in a coma because it will be excruciating if she were to be conscious. However, Dr Kosek here refuses to do so. She says magic cannot save this patient. She is letting her personal feelings getting in a way of having Mrs Veronica. I will not let that happen, not in this lifetime."

Simon was very angry at Nadia because he really could help Veronica, but she was being oversensitive about her issues and putting her patient in danger with the delays.

They were running thin with time but she was not getting the bigger picture here.

"I am seriously not acting up. Using another magic can cause her more harm. I am concern about my patient." Gina sighed in understanding.

"I understand where you are coming from Nadia, but you have to understand there are different types of magic. If you only focus on the black and refuse to acknowledge there is white, not you are being foolish. If everyone were to think the same way as you, then all wolves would be bad as savages and vampires as rogues," Gina commented.

"Your mentality is affecting your way of seeing the bigger picture here. Not all witches are murderers. So, if healing Veronica this way will help her survive we will take the chance. I will tell her family, they are the one's who will make a decision not you."

While they were arguing they failed to see all the others were listening by the door entrance.

"We will do as Simon suggested," confirmed Oscar. This was his decision and no one was going to stop him. If this could give his mate a chance of being with them. Even if it was just for a few months. This will be the best gift they could have asked for. So, this opportunity was not going to be wasted.

"But this will be dangerous..."

"Nadia that is enough." This time the king was the one to speak.

While all this argument was happening and her being in denial about her judgement. He was the king of the wolves and mostly the alpha of the royal pack. He knew what she felt, what she thought. She was being very emotional because of her past and was forgetting this was not about her feelings but saving the patient.

"It is no use trying to convince us, you're not behaving this way because of your past. Nadia, you rejected your mate for the same reason. However, this time. This is not about you, but the Gamma family. This is a family member they have not met. You trying to convince us medicine will heal her is like throwing oil on the fire. This will not help at all. However using magic to take out the poison in her body daily for the time needed to heal her, is possible. It might not be 100% but it will give them time to know each other."

He tried not to be harsh, he knew this topic was a sensitive subject for this Dr.

"So, you denying her this chance of survival. Is being nothing else but selfish."

Tears fell down Nadia's cheeks. She was failing to see reason and felt they were all ganging up on her. However, she cannot say anything to refute the king. If he said this must be, then there was nothing she could do.

Veronica wanted to comment but her voice failed her. She was trying so hard to tell them, she was fine with dying. She didn't want to be saved. Veronica was content seeing her family once and she didn't want any more problems for them. But, she saw the pain in their eyes when they thought of her dying. She knew she was being selfish but she didn't want to suffer anymore.

"Veronica, please don't try to speak. This will make you lose more strength. I know we are selfish right now, you have been through a lot but dying is not a better choice. You deserve the best, we will make sure you receive all that was taken from you."

Oscar could hear his mate's thoughts. This was one of the gifts all the mated wolves had. He didn't want his mate to know his thoughts though. So, he blocked everything, the pain he was feeling right now. It would be overwhelming for her and the guilty thoughts he had. He couldn't bear to share with her, he had failed her. How can he share his thoughts with her? He didn't deserve her at all.

Veronica was put in a coma as per Simon's request. He then asked the others to be outside and wanted his mother and brother to assist him with the healing. As everyone went out, the three was left inside.

Gina sat on the floor with yoga crossed legs, she was at the end of the bed. Her sons did the same at each side of the bed. Their eyes were closed, their hands were prayer posed. They chanted their healing prayers. The power could be felt in the royal hospital. The family of three were making sure this was not going to harm her.

Too much power at once was very dangerous like Nadia said. But if they gave enough in the right amount, Veronica would be in a good place. Their focus was to take out the shackles with the most care and not make more damage. Then they would start with the healing of bone structure, tendons and the scars on her body.

They all decided to wash her after this was done. While they were busy doing this inside the ward, the family was not any less worried.

"This will make her better right?" asked Talia in a soft coarse voice. She had been crying for some time now. Her mother she never knew was in such a state and all her life she had been calling another with that name. She felt unfilial to her mother. How could she had not known the woman was not her mother. There were signs of the way she behaved but she couldn't have guessed this cruelty.

Mike was no different, actually, all the people there felt there were to be blamed. They were not cautious enough and they could have detected the abnormality of Lydia but they thought she was fine. The sadness, guilt, hate, pain and helplessness filled the air. The smell of it scented like a dead dog at the side of the road.

This is the sight Aldrin and Brandon witnessed when they reached the hospital.
