Oliver stayed with Veronica waiting for the rest to come. He was trying to be understanding of the words said by this wonderful woman, but he was failing. It was a feeling he couldn't shake of. He was a young man and he knew how this was going to affect Mike and Talia's lives. He couldn't even imagine what will Oscar feel.
After all, the woman he thought was his mate was a fake. To meet your fated mate in this state, he could only imagine what was he going to feel. This was like the worst punishment any mate would want for the other.
He couldn't help but hope his brother could caster some spell to take off the chains. This could be possible, he knew this was going to take long and hurt but they couldn't just give up. This woman needed help and they had to do the best of everything to help.
So, he linked with his brother Simon to come back home.
"Simon, can you come back home right now. I have a person who has chains embedded on her wrists and anklet bones. If we want her to survive she would have to be emulated. The chains have been there for more than 2 decades. Do you think you can do something about it, to ensure she is saved?"
"How is her health?" Asked Simon.
"She is not in a good space. I can feel her soul leaving slowly but I think if we put her in a coma for about 6 months and grain the poison in her body she can have a chance to survive. This will also be good for the bones to be repaired, I am not sure if the tendons can be saved. After all, it has been years."
Sighed Simon.
"I think there is a possibility they can be saved but we will need the help from the Green Twins," Simon said before he teleported to the royal hospital.
"Hey, thanks for getting here fast," said Oliver to his brother who suddenly appeared before him and Veronica.
"Mrs Veronica, this is my brother Simon."
"Isn't he enchanting?" Teased Veronica. The boy was very handsome and bewitching.
Simon looked at the woman in bed and found himself angry. He was angry at whoever did this shameful act. This woman was an angel and must have been a beauty in her prime. He took her arm in his hand and examined the damage done but the locked chains. It was not good but he was sure with the Greens, this beauty can be saved.
However, before he could say anything a lot of people rushed in and all that was heard were gasped. Talia wailed when she saw the woman in bed, she looked so much like her.
They all could see that she was not in a good state. The woman smiled at the people before her and she wanted to say something but was interrupted by Simon.
"Mrs Veronica, you are not to say anything." He was stern. This came as a surprise for all. Doctor Kosek arrived at that moment.
"Please all of you leave the room to give the patient space to breathe. I need to examine her and it is too crowded here."
"But..." Oscar said in a dazed state. His eyes were glued to his fated mate and now understood what the others meant about the bond. He was heartbroken.
"I am sorry but there are no buts." Nadia was not having it. She was very worried about the condition her patient was in.
All of them could hear her heartbeat was not strong. Mike's mind was buzzing, he was seeing red and he wanted to kill Lydia with his bare hands. He was so agitated his wolf was starting to show.
Grrrr, a growl was heard, followed by a howl filled with pain. The 3 family members lost their minds when they witnessed the state Veronica was in.
Yes, it was true they have never met before. However, the family bond was so strong when they saw the woman in bed. The love she had for them was overwhelming. She was not resenting them for have been having a good life, whilst she was suffering.
She was happy to see them, the light in her eyes. The smile showed on her face was sparkling like stars in the cloudless night. She was a dazzling withering flower.
They didn't resist anymore they went outside and waited in the corridor. Dr Kosek used a stethoscope to listen to Veronica's heartbeat, not that he needed one to hear it, but he wanted to detect any other problems.
There were many problems with this lady, it seemed like she was severely poisoned. This was the worst thing she has ever seen in her life. Even the rogues were not this ruthless. If there wanted to make a statement, they would just kill the other wolves. Some would ask what is the difference? It is simple, a quick kill is better than making someone suffer from pain for 2 decades.
This was torture was extreme. What were Lydia and this Jessica character doing? If people like them carried on to exist in this world, far many worst things will still have to be seen.
"We must put her in a coma. She is losing her life slowly. I will try to heal her so far, but you have to speak to my Mom and ask if she can make contact with the Greens. We need their help, urgently."
Simon was anxious.
"Stop trying to tell me what to do, Simon," said Nadia in annoyance. "I know what is best for my patient. Do you think everything can be successfully healed by your so-called magic?" she mocked and her voice was dripped in sarcasm.
"I would advise you to keep your judgements for someone who cares. This is not about your beliefs, this is about saving a life. So, if you have a problem with magic, that is your choice but don't make decisions for other people."
Nadia hated anything that had to do with magic. Witches killed her family and she survive by luck. Every time someone mentioned anything about it, she couldn't help herself but make nasty comments.
"This has nothing to do with my personal feelings. I am thinking about my patient. I don't think your stupid magic will fix this problem. If it went for the witch in the first place she wouldn't be in this state." She yelled.
Simon looked at her in annoyance and anger. She was being unprofessional right now. Her problems with witches and casters had nothing to do with her patients.
The people in the hallway heard the argument, Gina hurried in to ask what was happening.
"What is the matter with you both? Why are you yelling when you're supposed to be helping a patient?" she asked them in anger and disgust.
Yes, Simon and Nadia were mates. However, Nadia rejected Simon because he was half caster/witch. It was a heartbreaking thing because he was being punished for what he didn't take part in. Worst of all Nadia never let it only, she always emphasized her hate for who he is. It hurt him more than anything, this was the reason why he left the royal pack to study outside.
