Chapter 17 - Journey Around The City

Back at the City centre, Alex was moving towards the City hall. Not only could he claim benefits for being a Baron of a local town in the perimeter of the Star City. He also had the title [City Lord] from reaching level 10 first.

What the title did was simple he had +20 favourability inside City's with all NPC's. This didn't sound like a lot but In fact it caused Alex to be able to activate quests easy, talk to more NPC's and also stop information about him spreading when players asked NPC's about him.

Currently the City in which Alex was in was the most busiest and prosperous out of all the Star Sovereign Kingdom Cities.

The Star Sovereign Kingdom was one of the many 'Planes' in which certain big figure entities have control over. If you wanted to rise to power in that said 'plane'. You had to have the support of that mega corporation or it would be extremely difficult. However, Alex knew this from his experience with these groups of people in his past life.

In fact, in his past life towards the end of the game their wasn't a single corporation that would bother to mess with Alex as he he had rightfully gained the title of 'Corp Slayer' by the people. For any bigwig entity that messed with Alex's plans he ruthlessly showed them that inside the game their so called power and money meant nothing.

That said Alex was not the him from the past as everything was wiped anew. So in order to survive he had to make sufficient preparations. He estimated that players would start to arrive in the cities by the end of the day.

Along with the sudden influx in population the markets of the auction house as well as day to day stalls would rocket in price come tomorrow.

What this meant to Alex though was one world only.

Money.

Walking into the City hall he was greeted by the site of luxury. Chandeliers lit the room to a satisfying degree. the measuring between couches were symmetrical to a T. Not a single shed of dust could be found from the coffee tables that were in the midst of the waiting area. Moving through to the center of the room. Alex found a warm sight of a worker dressed in a yellow dress with blonde hair and brown eyes.

Name tag hanging just below her right shoulder that showed her name as Hannah.

"Greetings Esteemed one, How might I help you today." She smiled perfectly as she tucked her hair that fell over her shoulder behind her left ear.

After enjoying the sight for a breaths time Alex smiled back. "Miss Hannah, I'm looking for a stall that's close to the path towards the town center and not to far from the teleportation crystal that is somewhat cheap."

"I see, well with being a Baron of the local town you are entitled to 5% off your down payment."

"As for the stall, all we have currently are these two." sliding a piece of paper that mark the locations on a map. Alex choose one and paid the 2 gold that was required as down payment and signed a contract stating he would have distribution rights for the next 15 days. However, he would have to pay a follow up fund if he wanted to carry on after the expired time.

leaving the City hall he made his way towards the market and then towards the herbology section. Scanning the prices of everything he was inwardly shocked everything was dirt cheap. If it was in his past life everything here although wasn't rare by any means was still 10x the price it was now.

"Well I really can't miss out while I can get it for this price."

He bought 4 golds worth of herbs that Mana breathing flowers and life giving mushrooms. He of course wasn't wasting his money here with no aim to make it back. Instead he was planning on selling his recipes in the auction house once they filled up and people could have a bid of. That way when everyone then came to production and these ingredients were all in demand they'd rocket in price and people would then come to his stall.

After giggling to himself he made his way back to his stall and dust it down filled the stand with his ingredients and raised the price to 4x the price of the normal buyout. If all went well after everything sold he'd get back 16 gold. Which to him wasn't a lot but in early game that sort of money was quite the sum for some people.

That said he wasn't the point to him reserving this spot in the city. That however, would come later on down the line.

"Now then for stage 2 of my plan and were I'll spend the next two days at probably." Looking up he had made his way to the Blacksmithing Guild. This was a NPC ran guild. Over course everything here was sold at a little extra the price and only by raising favourability with the leaders of the guild, which by the way was incredibly hard, could you get things cheaper.

However, for solo occupational players that would often get hunted down by major organisations to craft for them and then forced into a contract this option was acceptable.

Walking in he went straight to the counter. "I'll take a workshop for 2 days and the tools to go with."

"That will be 2 gold."

Paying the money he made his way to the second floor and found the room numbered 36 and enter. After which he locked the door and made his way to the middle of the room.

"Hah, it's good to be back."

"The feeling of being alone and ready to craft really is relaxing."

Crafting guilds worked different because you paid for the room you had full range to the basic metals for free as long as it didn't go over a certain price however for anything really rare you had to pay to get a hold of or bring t yourself.

This of course didn't matter because Alex planned to use the regular metals and the metals that he got from kill kolbolts over and over again to make a jewel himself. He had the knowledge and experience of everything that sold well in the past 10 years and after thinking it over for sometime throughout the day. He had came to a conclusion of what he wanted to craft.

The Thorn Piercing Chestplate.

After which he took out The Book Of Forging and place it on the counter top. Seeing the effect take place he laughed a little wondering how it would truly effect the completion percentage.
