The bell rang and I start to walk to my class upstairs. It was math class and I sat in my seat and look outside the window over the empty seat where Alana would sit. I wonder if she will come today? I studied for our project and I was thinking we can start to work on it during the weekend. The teacher was late today so I just put my headphones in and waited for Alana to walk in. Instead of Alana walking in it was the teacher. When she walked in the whole room smelled like cheap perfume and her morning coffee.
"Take out your notebooks and a pen or pencil. We are taking notes on Fraction Busters."
She turned off the lights and turned on the projector and logged on to her presentation. 10 minutes had passed and still no sign of Alana. I can feel my ears lowering every minute she didn't walk through the door. I looked outside to see the morning fog roll over the trees and blanket them with a coat of water droplets. I rested my head on my hand and just listened to death bed by Powfu while still looking out the window.
Class ended and packed up my things and head to my next class. Maybe she got sick, I can stop by later and bring her some medicine.
