The Richman - Car Accident

George had just woken up and with the help of a wheelchair was pushed by Aldric to the dining table. There was already Adrianna sitting facing the three servings of breakfast that had been made for her, her son and her husband. Adrianna clearly couldn't hide her puffy eyes.

"Mom ..." George smiled at Adrianna and his mother replied.

"Enjoy your breakfast, dear." Adrianna said.

George saw two large suitcases near Adrianna's seat. "Mommy want to go?" George asked, and Aldric remained silent, as if he didn't think Adrianna was there.

"Yes, Mommy will accompany Grandpa for a while. Grandpa isn't very well, my dear." Lie Adrianna.

"Why doesn't Grandpa just stay at our house?" George was not a child to be easily fooled. The logic has worked well and it is clearly a difficult matter for Adrianna to explain her current situation.

"You know, your grandfather didn't like to trouble other people. He wants to live in his own house, so someone has to take care of him temporarily." Adrianna explained.

"Why doesn't Aunt Leah take care of Grandpa?" George asked further, while Adrianna stuttered to answer.

"Son, eat your food. Daddy will take care of you while Mommy isn't around." Aldric held out George's plate of breakfast and a glass of warm milk for him to drink. "Let mommy go now, Grandpa is waiting for her." Aldric tried to persuade George but it felt more like he was trying to kick Adrianna out of this house.

"Yes, your dad is right." Nodded Adrianna. She immediately hugged George.

"I'll see you soon dear, as soon as Grandpa's condition improves, I'll back home." Lyingly, what She was trying to do was protect her son from a bad image of parental fights in front of children which might in fact inflict far more serious injuries on his mind.

In Adrianna's heart, she felt that if Aldric really wanted her to go, then she would go too. Both Aldric and Adrianna need time to calm down so they can see the matter more clearly when they are apart. Their emotions will be more neutral before they make the next choice they want to make.

Adrianna stopped walking, still clutching her trunk she turned towards her son because George's voice suddenly made her steps even heavier.

"Daddy hasn't kissed mommy yet." he said.

Adrianna smiled bitterly at her son, her tears almost spilled at that very moment, because their family custom is like that. There are always kisses and hugs before any of the family members leave the house.

Aldric looked awkward, but still he stood up from his chair and approached Adrianna while saying "Oh, daddy almost forgot."

Adrianna's heart was getting worse when she reminisced some time ago when he was three years old. George once asked why they had to kiss or hug each other before separating? And Aldric replied, that there are so many possibilities in this world that can happen at any time. Parting is something that is not pleasant, and to make a good impression before parting we give hugs or kisses to give a good impression and support the people we love to get back quickly.

And for some reason in that brief embrace, Adrianna still had faith in her heart that Aldric still expected her to come back soon.

"You don't kiss her?" George protested again and Aldric gave Adrianna a quick kiss on the cheek.

"I miss you so much." Adrianna muttered to herself, it seemed she really wanted to scream those words but couldn't. The poor woman chose to swallow her sentence back and fake a smile to make her disappearance not a bad thing at all for her son.

Adrianna looked down but continued to drag her heavy steps towards the exit, in her heart she muttered "I didn't even eat my breakfast when I left that house, the house I used to proudly call my home, but now I have to say that it's my son and my husband's house."

Adrianna drove her car and for some reason after leaving the fence of the big white house which they always called the white house, her heart was shattered into pieces, her tears were falling and her eyes were blurry. But as if she wanted to run away from the harsh reality, her foot stepped on the gas pedal, making the vehicle she was traveling in accelerated. Adranna even turned on loud music so that no one would know that at that time she was even crying loudly in her own car.

In the distance a horn sounded but he ignored it until suddenly from the left the car was hit hard by a high-speed SUV at a crossroads until the car rolled and was dragged several meters until it finally stopped after hitting the pavement.

Hysterical shouts from road users who were walking around the scene as well as the sound of horns added to the drama of the incident. Several people ran to see the condition of the woman in the now shapeless glossy black sedan, as did the SUV driver who finally got down to see the state of her opponent. The SUV's bumper appeared to be badly damaged but the driver, a thirty-nine year old man named Thomas, was fine.

Thomas and several others helped get Adrianna out of the car that was starting to smoke. Some came with fire guns to avoid the explosion in the engine and finally Adrianna was managed to get out of the car. About ten minutes later the ambulance came and immediately took Adrianna to the nearest hospital. At that time, Adrianna was practically unconscious.

Luckily one of the road users recognized him, because it was Aldric's colleague. The man immediately contacted Aldric.

"Good morning Mr Bloom." Who is the man named Rob?

"Oh, Mr Harrington." Aldric answered the phone in a friendly manner. "Sorry, I have to picked up the call." Aldric said.

"Was your wife out of the house this morning in a black sedan?" Rob asked to make sure, because some of Adrianna's face was covered in blood, Rob didn't dare to confirm whether the woman was his colleague's wife or not. But he knew the sedan because it was only about a month ago that Aldric bought the sedan for his wife.

Aldric furrowed his brows. "Yes." The answer is curious.

"The sedan you bought for her birthday?" Rob confirmed again.

"Yes." Aldric's jaw hardened, "Can you get straight to the point?" Aldric asked curiously.

"Sorry sir, but recently your wife had an accident and is currently being taken to the hospital. I will send you the address." said Rob. The call ended and Rob immediately took a picture of Adrianna's wrecked car, still in the same position with blood flowing around it as well as the address of the hospital where Adrianna was rushed.

Aldric staggered, he immediately approached his son. "Son, Eat your breakfast. Aunt Leah will be here in a few minutes. Can I go away for a bit and you play with Aunt Leah?" asked Aldric and George nodded, the docile never protested much.

Aldric immediately contacted Leah and briefly explained what had happened to Adrianna and asked Leah to come look after George while he was going to the hospital to check on his wife's condition. While Leah had not yet arrived, Aldric asked Sarah to accompany his son.

In a huff, Aldric drove himself to the hospital, which was addressed by his colleague Rob Harrington from the car dealer. He did not expect that the birthday present he gave to Adrianna would be the machine that took his wife's life. If he had known that things would end up like this maybe Aldric would have reconsidered letting his wife go.

The words that came out of Aldric's mouth that night, which in essence asked Adrianna to leave them, didn't mean this. Not asking Adrianna to go away forever.

In Aldric's heart it was clear that he really loved his wife, only seeing Adrianna still seeing Javier coincided with the shooting incident at the school made Aldric's heart hurt deeply. Until the words that sound like expulsion come out.

To be honest, Aldric and Adrianna are two people who are both hurt because of the situation they are trying to find their own way out. Unfortunately they didn't try to find a way out together until the next bad thing happened.

As soon as he got out of his car, Aldric immediately ran to the reception desk to ask where his wife was. The receptionist at the hospital said that his wife was undergoing surgery and showed him the room.

Aldric ran quickly to the room, a closed room where only medical personnel were allowed to access it. The light indicating an action is taking place in the room is on and a beep is heard from the medical devices in the room.

Aldric's knees buckled at the thought of his wife undergoing action to save her life. His tears fell when she saw Adrianna, whom he loved and hated so much, lay helpless. Ben came to the hospital moments later while Richard was not told what had happened to his daughter.

Not long after, Leah came to Aldric's house and immediately met George. It wasn't easy for Leah after hearing the bad news about her sister-in-law and still having to act like everything was fine in front of her niece.

"Hey champ." She greeted and George greeted him with joy.

"What do you want to do today?" Leah asked as she led George to her room in a wheelchair.

"I don't know, I'm not excited at all." George replied, that made Leah stop pushing and crouch down in front of her nephew. "What makes you feel that way?" she asked softly.

"Mommy left this morning with two big suitcases, mommy said she would take care of grandpa. But somehow I feel like mommy won't be coming back to this house again." The stare of the five year old boy's eyes broke Leah's heart, she hugged George and cried in her heart.

"She will be back in this house, keep on believe." Leah rubbed the poor boy's back.

While Ben had just arrived at the hospital and immediately approached Aldric.

"How is the condition?" Ben asked with a pale face. Ben patted Aldric's shoulder and sympathized with the household his brother and sister-in-law were building. Troubles came and hit their household.

"She's undergoing operating inside." Aldric replied after he wiped the trail of his tears. For almost two hours Adrianna was fighting for her life on the operating table while Aldric and Ben waited anxiously outside the operating room.
