Hidden Fantasy-A Werewolf's Obsession

Chapter 44-Alessia

With the power of the ring spreading through me, I remembered Noah's memories in my thoughts. The way he helped me in the times I saw in pain, the way he always seemed to cheer me and the constant aid he gave me emotionally. Tears began to appear as I recognised that he was a friend I may never get to see again which instantly created an emotion inside of me. Anger. Suddenly, crimson veins began to form once again, consuming me in such a rush that it was hard to even breathe but I kept bearing the discomfort. Aiden was taken away by it and stared at me with incredulity. Instantly adrenaline began flowing through my veins triggering all my emotions and uncovering all my fears. Within a second I was being consumed with all the monsters I had tried to keep at bay all inundating me at once with no termination. It was as if I was in a cage helpless and all I could do was just stay motionless and allow all the abuse to occur. I felt the power rush through my body as it awaited my call and unexpectedly I heard a voice.

"Find me," A woman spoke in the same tone as the previous one.

"Alessia, free me!" The woman whispered trying to grab my attention but I muted her voice in my mind. Just as scars began appearing throughout my skin tearing me into pieces I pushed began twisting my hands into a giant ball of raw energy.

"Alessia, are you all right?" Aiden inquired, but I was focused on producing a portal that I didn't hear him. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath trying to calm my mind which was in a chaotic mess. I then let out a deafening scream as I unleashed a massive burst of energy in front of me. A scream from the lips and lungs, as well as a scream from the eyes and soul, could be heard. Tearing my body into shreds from the power it holds. Everyone collapsed to the ground, clutching their ears in agony as blood began pouring from their eyes a thick black colour. Suddenly, a vivid gateway appeared, but it required more energy, so I continued pumping more energy into it, causing the entire environment to light so brightly that it resembled the sunlight.

As blood began to trickle from my eyes and fall to the ground, I said to myself, "Just a little more."

"LET GO, ALESSIA!" Aiden and Olivia screamed, but I wasn't going to stop now that I was so near. I yelled even louder, pushing all of my frustrations into the gateway, and the white portal appeared in front of me, dazzling as it began spiralling in front of us. When my stomach gave up, I knew I was about to pass out. My inside organs felt as though they were being replaced by a black hole. Then sickness crawled up my stomach and into my mind, and everything went dark. I awakened minutes later to see Aiden standing in front of me.

"Alessia, are you all right?" With his hand on my shoulder, he inquired.

"Yes," I responded as I rose and checked to see whether the gateway was still functional.

I cheered softly, "I did it!"

"You did," Olivia hugged me, "but you frightened the very daylights out of us."

"What do you mean?" I inquired, my curiosity piqued. I gasped when I saw what she was pointing at on the floor. There were pools upon puddles of dark blood on the floor, invading into the surrounding river causing its clear water to turn a light red colour.

"Oh gosh," I said quietly. Suddenly a noise began to erupt throughout our surroundings and I turned to see sparks beginning to gather around the doorway, and I realised it was about to close closing the door towards a cure for Noah.

"No," I screamed as I rushed inside without hesitation. Aiden, Olivia, and other werewolves appeared out of nowhere and began to walk inside. I gasped as I saw the island in reality and not in my mind. The beautiful moon shone brightly on my face infusing me with warmth. The scene before me was breathtaking. The sea was infinite blue in infinite weather patterns, yet in all this, it was the prettiest colour I ever saw. The wind had transformed into the symphony director of the water, propelling waves into crescendos throughout the night's melody. The scent of salty ocean was all around us, as was the fine spray that came as fiercely as any viola flurry. It was as if life itself had entered the water, and the energy was so powerful that a tremendous pulse rose upward in a continuous beat. My face was plastered with a grin. As I began walking towards the big statue of Ravana that I had seen before, the smooth sensitive sand began to crack under my feet. This was my first time seeing the island at night, so it was a unique experience, but the scenery was still incredible. The statue's expression was not one of joy, not of the kind of enjoyment that makes people laugh, but of the kind of responsibility that comes with being entrusted with the protection of freedom and prosperity. Its eyes glared at me with confusion as if to say "How are you even here?"

We were about to walk towards the twitching threshold when the statue began to creek and pull out a tremendous rusty sword from her belt and slammed it right towards me, but I moved just before the hand was about to strike me an inch away. The wolves immediately began firing at the statue thinking that it was trying to kill them, but this just appeared to enrage it, and it began bashing additional holes in the earth which looked like quicksand trying to consume us. My wolf did not seem to be afraid of the statue and began biting vigorously at her while in the middle of the statue's flurry of sword strikes. I was astonished at how many bullets the statue absorbed; it was far less than a shell of a king's army tank. Its strange stone-like skin was its biggest advantage, that and its imposing size. I was watching in astonishment as its huge sword seemed to be missing me by a hair skim per swing. One swing did land a strike on the wolf, but the wolf didn't even seem to notice it, even though the wolf was not immune to bullets. This was a stone-skinned wolf with a thick stone skin and plate beneath the surface of its skin. For me, attacking must defend those who cannot defend themselves. We'll come and aid. We will punish those who do harm to others and refuse to modify their ways. But the more I noticed the statue, the more I realised how solitary it must have been to be imprisoned on this island with no one to socialise with. After spending countless freezing nights thawing out, and then she is unexpectedly approached by a group of individuals. That had to be a lot to take in.

I ran towards Aiden and began roaring at him to tell his pack to stop hurting her. "BACK DOWN, GUYS!" Aiden stormed back to his group and winked at me which immediately gave me a strange shiver.

Slowly, I approached the statue, which was still incensed with its eyes looking bloodshot. As Aiden yelled behind me, just as the statue slammed above me, I got to one knee in front of the statue and knelt to show my sympathy. "Please. I have a friend in a coma that I need to save. A promise I have to keep" I pleaded, a little scared of relief. The statue lowered its head, while still shedding tears. I watched as the tears fell down the metal face. "Please. I know that you're scared and alone but we are not here to you I need the Bloodstone, but I..." I could see the statue's eyes glinting as it began to glow red. Aiden's scream turned into a gasp as I closed my eyes hoping for the best. When I turned my head, I saw the statue in front of me bowing on one knee as it smiled at me and crumbling into fragments scattering all over the ground. As I approached the entryway, which was still sealed with magic, I grinned. I paused for a while, considering the ring on my finger and how it was related to the Bloodstone, before removing the ring and walking backwards with a confident look on my face. I inhaled I grasped the ring in my hand which seemed to be bathed in a red hue and without hesitation I shot it towards the entryway. Instantly a buzzing sound erupted in the air as the ring began demolishing the entryway to pieces and suddenly the door's protection blasted throughout the environment reverberating everywhere causing tons of debris to cover the entryway. As we got close I immediately began coughing from inhaling the sandy air but with a little swift of my palm, I saw the inside of the cave shining brightly of what looked to be a Bloodstone. The answer to all my prayers.
