Day 2: The Aura of Anxiety

As Kareem took his first step into the saloon, he saw the whole store within his eyes for the first time ever. Every small detail in the store was visible unlike before. His body posture had made his body in tune with the environment with more focus on his body he had also subconsciously strengthened his connection to the outside world. This was not a superpower this was reality, a simple change of the body could lead a person to believe they had acquired powers.

Celebrities have also witnessed this change but much more vividly as their fame and fortune increases so does the world and how it interacts with them. It is unfathomable to believe what a life of a celebrity or the life of an extremely hot person is without being in their shoes. Mind you this life of their just because it is unfathomable to the outside does not mean it is better or worse than the average person. If you really think it is all that great give me a reason why these so-called people living these great lives chose to kill themselves or overdosed on drugs?

The goal is to be in the position of these famous people but not be corrupted by it. Maximize your pros and lower the cons as much as possible.

As Kareem entered the Salon he saw the hairdresser, that he occasionally seeked a cut from doing his job. As Kareem was about to sit down on the 2 couches for waiting he saw that the young woman on one of the couches was extremely attractive. Slim waist, plum butt, beautiful black hair and eyes that could delve deep into your soul. A beauty like this was rare to come by.

This should be seen as an opportunity and treated as such. When an occasion like this occurs to the average guy 98% of them will not be able to strike even a 'Hello' to the other person. Kareem knew this because of one of the few gems he had found while browsing the internet yesterday.

Even though Kareem wanted to say something knowing he was given an opportunity by the universe, not one word could come out of his mouth. "a- ah- I mean..." he mumbled to himself.

Thoughts started appearing in his head 'she is probably super busy', 'look at her she is looking at her phone, 'She is so beautiful, there is no way she would like me' these thoughts increased like a plague in the middle east in his mind. Every second that went by made the situation more unbearable to Kareem until he thought 'yea there is no way, I can do this. This was the state of young men these days. statements like 'no way, 'I can't do this', are the bane of the existence of men.

*thump* *thump* slowly but surely Kareem's heart rate increased and increased until it could be heard inside the ear.

If an opportunity is presented by the universe a man's job is to grab it by the neck and use it to its highest degree. To cower in front of fear is to submit to your own limits. This is exactly what occurred to Kareem as he gave up in front of fear.

The hairdresser called Kareem over to give him his cut, he hurriedly got away from the couch like it was the source of the plague. His anxiety was radiating like it was an aura.

"um are you ok sir?" the hairdresser asked Kareem.

"yea I'm fine," Kareem said as he squeezed a smile.

As the hairdresser started giving Kareem his cut his mental state started getting better, he calmed down further and felt like he had just escaped the jaw of a horrible monster. This was a delusion Kareem had, it was not that he escaped from the horrible monster, he had submitted to it.

'Once I'm done with this haircut ill definitely go talk to her' Kareem thought trying to redeem his extreme performance. A small hope started burning within him.

Unfortunately, hope can only get you so far, the young woman on the couch stood up and started walking to the door, as a car visibly pulled up outside. As the young woman stepped outside the Salon a burst of regret hit Kareem.

Thoughts like 'I should have just said something', 'wtf was I doing this whole time', 'if only I was more confident' appeared as quickly as she left. When failing at something one of the most important things to do is to not resent yourself for it. Understand the reasons why it occurred, know what else could have been done and do it next time. Self-loathing will only create a cycle of hate that will result in more failure and so on.

The key to growth is to be objective when looking at failure and success. Both should not be looked at in the view of the good or bad but instead loss or gain.

Kareem as he was almost done getting his cut he started thinking what was the reason this situation occurred? The biggest reason he had cowered out was because of his choice to wait around and say something later. The best way to approach a situation like this he concluded was 'If I see anyone else next time, I will approach them the moment I see them, waiting around will only make me more anxious'

As the hairdresser was done with Kareem's cut he saw his previous hideous face, lighten up, there was still a lot of cheek fat and his double chin he had to get rid of but with his new cut, his looks had increased from a 3 to 5 out of 10. It's no wonder people consider a haircut on men the same as makeup for women.

Kareem stepped outside the salon and took a fresh new pic of the cut and posted it on his gram. Small achievements should be showcased unless of course, your haircut came out hideous. As Kareem got home and took a shower he looked back on his phone and saw that most of his friends had replied to his post with fire emojis and the like.

The only surprising thing was that his crush had replied to his post too even though he had left her on seen previously. She replied with 'so you just going to leave me hanging?' talking about him leaving her on seen.
