Calming down!

A few minutes passed and Kozue was sitting exhausted on the ground, with his hands bandaged, while Sozui who was fighting with Asami seemed even worse than Asami.

Sozui recieved damages to the extent that his flak jacket is no more, while Asami's barely hanged on to her.

Asami had still a bit of her chakra reserve left. Enough to kill the both of them!

She was waiting for Sakumo all this time. But if he doesn't come now, she could only suck it up and kill her ex - teammates for her own survival.

' I have to kill them! Otherwise Rayzen won't forgive me! '

She psyched herself up as she activated her Sharingan and approached Sozui slowly:

" You have brought this upon yourselves! Let's be genuine comrades atleast in the next life! "

The two tomoe in her pair of Sharingan, began to spin at a rapidly increasing pace, as it got faster and faster, the tomoe seemed to have become a circular ring spinning around the pupil.

Just as she was about to strike, the leaves around them rustled, indicating the presence of someone.

As the three of them looked above at the trees, they saw two people in black hooded robes. Their face hidden beneath their hoods.

Seeing that it was not Sakumo, Sozui and Kozue felt relieved, while Asami accepted her situation in an instant and was ready to take someone with her to death.

...

Rayzen had an uneasy feeling from the noon time, Asami was supposed to return about now for lunch. But she hadn't!

He was unable to meditate in peace, so he invested his time in training his fighting style and researching techniques.

Like always, time passed when he was focused heavily on something. He only realised the sun had set when Takeshi came to call him.

Rayzen welcomed him with a smile:

" Its pretty rare to see you here, father! "

But seeing Takeshi's gloomy face, Rayzen's heart started beating madly in fear of a conclusion his mind already arrived at.

Takeshi saw Rayzen's warm smiling face slowly change to that of despair. He didn't want to make the kid assume something wrong so he didn't dawdle any longer as he said:

" Its not as serious as you imagine, son! Please calm down first! "

Rayzen's expression turned cold , one that even made Takeshi shiver a bit. He asked :

" What happened ? "

Takeshi was afraid of him over reacting so he said once again:

" You need to calm down first Rayzen! "

Rayzen stared deep into Takeshi's eyes for another reply, seeing that he won't get any unless he calmed down, he sighed in frustration.

Rayzen didn't wait any longer for Takeshi's reply as he went inside his room. He changed into his formal full sleeve black shirt with the Uchiha insignia and dark grey pants and ninja sandals. He wore his black facemask and tightened the headband that covered his left eye.

He then arranged his shuriken and kunai in the special pockets of his pants and the one attached to his belt.

Once finished, he turned to look at Takeshi who was stunned at his doors shocked by his actions.

" Wha- What are you... doing? "

Rayzen replied with a smile that is anything but warm : " Calming down. "

" Now tell me what happened before I go out and find it on my own. "

Takeshi shook his head in surrender as he said :

" Asami's is in the hospital! She is heavily injured, but her life's not on the line! "

Rayzen closed his eye and gave out a relaxed sigh, his mind seeming to be in peace knowing that Asami is safe. He asked without opening his eyes:

" What about her teammates? "

Takeshi said with a solemn tone :

" Dead in action! "

Rayzen smiled coldly as he opened his eyes, his mind already calculating certain future events.

Takeshi was shocked by Rayzen's contrasting malicious attitude towards Asami's teammates. He felt that his nephew had his reasons for such reactions.

His musings were broken as Rayzen said urgently :

" Let's head out! She is still not safe! "

Takeshi trusted Rayzen's instincts as he felt that Rayzen might know something more about this unfortunate event. He rushed to the hospital following Rayzen.

...

Sakumo was sitting outside Asami's room in the hospital. He was in a depressed mood and seemed to have already accepted the blame for what happened to his team. He looked back to what happened when he arrived on the scene in an effort to find some clues.

...

As Sakumo was about to reach the position from where he received Asami's signal, he sensed some chakra fluctuations that died down soon enough.

By using methods of chakra sensing while rushing to Asami's location, he sensed three persons, one of which was Asami. It seemed that the other two people sensed him too, as they escaped from the range of his senses.

When Sakumo arrived at the location, he felt sadness and rage welling up from deep inside him. Sozue and Kozui was lying in a pool of their own blood. Not an single breath of life was left in them. As he examined them in a rush, he saw that both of them had a surprised and unwilling expression etched on their faces.

The destroyed ground and the damage to the nearby trees indicated the intensity of the battle.

From his expertise in investigation he was able to infer that the both of them had let their guard down just before their death. This matched their facial expression.

Not wasting his time, Sakumo rushed to Asami who was a bit away from the two. She too was lying down heavily injured. But Sakumo was surprised and relieved to see that she was not dead yet.

He did a basic first aid on her and was shocked to find that she might lose her life if not admitted to the hospital soon. As apart from the external injuries, the degree of the internal ones he saw in his preliminary diagnosis scared him. Any later had he arrived, she would have been much closer to death!

Sakumo then stored the dead bodies of Sozui and Kozue in a scroll. He also collected some visible bloodstains that he found near Asami but seemed not to belong to her, from his inference of what happened in the battle.

Sakumo then without wasting a single second, carried Asami in such a way that it didn't aggravate her wounds any further. Just as he was about to leave, he detected some people arriving at his location rapidly. He looked ahead and saw a group wearing animal styled porcelain mask and in robes that hid their light battle armour and weapons underneath.

' Are they also involved?! It doesn't matter! '

He released all his suppressed killing intent and was prepared to draw his sword if they approached him any further.

The other party was paralysed in fear! They didn't make any rash movement and stayed still.

Seeing that the masked people was not intending to make a move, Sakumo left with Asami without even looking back, not caring that he was vulnerable to attacks.

It was not that he wanted to let the other party leave. He had a critically injured student, the only one left of his team, that he cared too much for in his arms. He didn't want to take any risks!
