Fallen Team : 2 v 1

Soon that rare opportunity arrived, when Sakumo decided to let the team do the C rank mission without his presence. After informing the base about the escort mission, they prepared for their actual mission.

Sozui and Kozue never expected Asami to have her guard up all this time. Every time they tried to make her feel safe, she didn't budge. Even while subtly ordering sake, she was vigilant enough to notice it.

Kozue took matters into his hand as he used the excuse of going to the washroom as a pretense to drug the fruit juice and returned to his seat after a few minutes.

While the team consumed their food and drinks, Sozui was subtly keeping an eye on Asami as he thought morbidly:

' Haha.. drink your 'special fruit juice' b*itch! This will probably be your last meal. If only you agreed to my wishes... I could have atleast shown you what it's like to sleep with a man. Well, that also won't prevent what's gonna come to you... a painful end to your life! '

Just as Asami ordered, the team left the town and headed back to the village. Kozue had signalled the base for doing their part just as they left the town.

When the three wearing Chunin flak jackets were about to reach a quarter of the way, Asami who was in the lead slowed down a bit.

Sozui commented with a sinister laugh:

" Getting weak? Are you, leader? "

' That's it! Hahaha... Fall off the tree, b*itch! '

Asami slowed and got down from the tree branches that they were running on and jumping to and fro. As she got to the ground, and tried to catch her breath, she heard Kozue asking while the two of them approached her slowly:

" Are you fine, Asami? "

The uneasy feeling she had increased ever since they left Tanzaku Quarters. As they traversed, she felt a rising exhaustion. It was as if her body was moving through mud, a tardy and tiring venture. She felt her chakra was being drained at a visible pace.

Added to that she felt a malicious intent from Sozui's gaze on her increasing the more they traversed and the more she felt tired.

All the signals she was getting was pointing that something bad was about to happen to her. As she went down the trees to catch her breath, she took out a paper that had some seals on it from the pouch in her flak jacket.

Just as she was about to inject her draining chakra to activate the seals, a kunai came flying and it destroyed the paper and went further to strike her abdomen!

Feeling the danger before the kunai hit the paper, she activated her Sharingan. Just as the paper was pierced through, she blocked the kunai that was headed for her with one of her own.

She looked ahead to see that it was Kozue with a cold expression who had thrown the kunai.

" Why? " She asked involuntarily.

Instead of getting answers, Sozui came forward smiling sinisterly with the kunai in his hand and completely ready to strike as he said :

" Trying to call Sakumo sensei? Hahaha... No one's gonna help you Asami. You are all alone here! "

" You traitors! " She cursed.

" Traitors... Hahaha.... We are far from it Asami. We are just doing what is best for the village. " said Sozui as he approached closer.

" No need to pretend, b*tch ! There is no use stalling for time. We are waiting for the arrival of some people whose mission is to take care of you... forever! Meanwhile, let's have some fun! "

Just as he finished saying that, he went for an attack. While Kozue stayed back to prevent Asami from escaping with whatever little energy they surmised she had left.

Asami didn't think anything unnecessary and went straight for battle. Rayzen had pounded into her various battle scenarios, including one where chakra is being constantly drained.

She felt thankful that she always kept Sharingan active to the limit, breaking the limit each time, according to Rayzen's advice. This reduced the chakra consumption by a considerable amount and increased her chakra reserves by a lot.

Still she deactivated her Sharingan and went for close quarters combat. As their kunai and fists and palms clashed, Asami easily took the advantage. Fighting with Rayzen has its benefits.

Knowing that the advantage won't be on her side for her long. She increased her aggressiveness as she easily blocked Sozui's strikes and thrashed him. Landing a strong kick on his chest, she threw him back. She then threw two sets of shuriken , one at the fallen Sozui and the other at the rapidly approaching Kozue.

Kozue blocked the shurikens with his kunai and just as he was about to strike at Asami, his vision was covered by fire.

' Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu '

Asami activated her Sharingan and saw that both Sozui and Kozue had used 'Substitution Jutsu' at the last second. As smoke covered the field, her fading figure made some hand-seals. The smoke completely engulfed her as the cold gaze of blood red Sharingan targeted it's preys unbeknownst to them.

Sozui shouted at Kozue: " Where is that b*tch? "

Kozue closed his eyes and just as soon opened it in shock as he said : " Behind us! "

Sozui failed to comprehend how that was possible, but nonetheless, turned back to defend.

But the thing he saw made him regret for forgetting an important thing.

A pair of crimson Sharingan with two spinning tomoe stared deep into his eyes.

' Sharingan : Genjutsu '

As he experienced a painful illusion and was about to be taken care of, Kozue on the other side was prepared for the Sharingan.

He didn't turn back as he used :

' Earth Style : Hidden Mole Jutsu '

Kozue drilled into the ground to dodge Asami's strike. He then without wasting a second, pulled her down from her feet and submerged her into the ground and constricted the Earth around her.

Asami seemed to be in pain , but before anything could happen, she exploded into a lot of smoke!

' It was a shadow clone! ' thought Kozue as he again went down and reached for the feet of the other Asami from underground.

Asami who was about to deal a final blow at Sozui who was trapped in a painful illusion, picked up the incoming chakra on the ground from Kozue's sneak attack with her Sharingan.

Left with not enough time to evade, she imitated Rayzen's technique.

' Ninja Art: Micro-Burst jutsu '

As the impact force travelled from the micro movements of the muscles and bones of her upper body to her feet, Asami exploded into smoke again!

This was followed by a hopelessly painful scream from Kozue.

The impact from her strike only left a small crack on the Earth, from which blood was flowing out. Kozue came out of the Earth and bend down with his head on the ground roaring in pain, as he sheltered his badly mangled bleeding hands close to his chest.

" Aaaahhhh!!!! You f*cking bitch! "

He looked around to see Asami was not on the field. He then crawled with all his efforts to Sozui's side and managed to release him from the genjutsu, while suppressing the pain from his hands.

The pale faced Sozui who was awaken from the genjutsu was mentally exhausted. His face contorted to that of a cruel beast as he looked around for Asami.

He looked at Kozue's injury that incapacitated him from battling further and his anger rose again as he said in a voice low enough for Kozue to hear:

" Kozue! Retreat and find that b*tch! I am sure she is close to her limits from that drug. I'll take care to give her a slow and painful death. "

Kozue closed his eyes and then looked above as he said : " Above on the trees! "

Sozui looked upto see Asami who was looking down at the two of them with visible disdain. She had her Sharingan deactivated.

Sozui grinned with malice and said : " Exhausted, Asami? Try to keep up! I have a lot in mind that I plan to make you experience! "

Asami in response just laughed and let loose a burning sealing paper from her hands to the ground as she said with a smile that contained her rage :

" Sensei will be here soon! "

Sozui and Kozue felt fear gripping their hearts as they shivered a bit. Sozui, in a effort to stave off the rising panic in his heart, said to Asami:

" Well, let's see who comes first! And let's see whether you will even last till then! "

The three 'teammates' prepared for another intense battle of life and death!
