Chapter 5

We've arrived at the front door of the Alijandros' home. It's not even a place I can call home. It's similar to a hotel. It's large, comparable to the size of our house, er, my ancestors' house.

I immediately went down from the carriage. I was really amazed. But my view does not cover the whole house because of its size. "Let's go," said the man. If I'm correct, its name was Isaiah. I put my hand on his elbow so I could hold on. I also tightened my grip there. I saw Israel with Filla and Karmelena. So did Don Alijandro and Doña Karmes. I was astonished by their looks. I could not believe it.

"Welcome!" the man shouted. I don't know him. He looks like the head of the family."Mi amigo! (my friend!)" shouted Don Alijandro. When they had finished greeting each other, the old man who greeted us spoke. Come on. "While my beloved's meal that she made is still hot," he added.

We went straight to the dining room. Its house is very spacious. Before we got to the dining room, there was another living room, a large room, and another room that looked like a music room just next to the living room.

I am assisted by Isaiah to sit down. At the table, we're now facing each other. Don Alijandro and another man who had greeted us earlier were at either end of the room. And I've got a man in front of me. It appears to be Andres. The one who previously saved me and also has a twin next to it. Male and female twins It appears to be his younger siblings. They are approximately the same age as Israel. It's between fourteen and fifteen years old. Also, there is another man next to the twin, between the husband and the twin, and another man next to the man with his wife, the one who welcomed us earlier.

I am in the middle of Karmelena and Filla. While Don Alijandro and Doña Karmes are side by side and on Carmelena's side are Israel and Isaiah.

Now we are just eating quietly. Only the rattle of cutlery could be heard. I can't eat well because I'm not used to my posture. Not so with people nowadays. I mean in the future. They can eat any way they want. Andres was also silent. That's just looking around at the two Dons eating.

Until Don Alijandro spoke. "Are we going to start the conversation about Karmen and Andres' wedding?" he said and I was immediately dazed by what I heard.

Marriage!?

"Are we going to start the conversation about Miss Karmen and Mr. Andres's wedding?" he added. That I was confused by what it said. Marriage!? This instant!? He just touched me!

I was blindsided by what Don said. I saw them bewildered and stood up. They came to me almost at once.

"Karmen, my dear? Are you alright? Drink this ..." the woman said."Auh... ok-I'm fine." I almost slipped again in what I had to say.

This is no longer something I desire! The difficulty of speaking in a formal manner. I drank the water provided by the woman, and when they saw that I was fine, they quickly returned to their seats. Then, I noticed Andres staring at me, my heart rate increased.

He's handsome. That’s all I can say.

"My dear ... I don't know if there is something between you and my second child. When was it?" The woman who looked like Andres's mother asked the question.

I was about to say something, but Don Alijandro interrupted me. "Whenever that's the case, I'm glad to see that our family is bonding together for the betterment of our town," he added.

How should I explain this? It's nice to say, 'We just met. Then get married right away? '
