Chapter Two

Nazwa rushed into the cafe she founded after her divorce from Rafi. Her hobby of cooking and baking cakes has turned out to be useful for her now. She was very grateful, being able to stand on her own feet and prove to Rafi that she was fine. She didn't even touch the allowance she got from Rafi. Both for the children and herself. It's not that she doesn't appreciate it, it's just that her great disappointment has made her act like that.

The huge feeling of disappointment because she never knew the real reason she was divorced. Their domestic life has been fine and harmonious. Of course, it made her shocked and shocked because she had to accept a divorce. Honestly, even now she still wonders why. And that's what made her want to meet Renata.

Nazwa knows Renata as their family friend from Rafi's side in particular. Because Renata's parents are Rafi's adoptive parents. Although she has never met or spoken to Renata's parents, Nazwa has known her through Rafi's stories. How Renata and her parents have been instrumental in making a successful Rafi from Rafi who is alone and lost.

The divorce of Rafi's biological parents made his life a mess. Because none of them want to take care of Rafi. For them, Rafi is a burden in life. Indeed, Rafi's mother and father's marriage occurred because of Rafi's presence in his mother's womb. And that is the cause of their quarrel and divorce. Because they maintain each other's selfishness, they feel they are the most correct parties. No one wants to realize what has happened because of a common mistake, which one has to face like it or not.

She was greeted by Siska at the entrance. "Where is my guest?" she asked Siska.

"Miss Renata is in the living room on the 2nd floor, Mom," answered Siska.

"Have you been given a treat?" she asked again.

"Already. And for you too."

"Well. Thank you, Siska. I'll go upstairs first."

"Oke Mom," Siska responded to Nazwa's words by giving her a sweet smile and giving a thumbs up.

Nazwa entered the living room by greeting. She saw a beautiful-looking woman in very fashionable clothes, sitting on the sofa in her living room. Suddenly the woman stood up to see Nazwa's arrival while answering Nazwa's greeting.

Renata extended her hand to Nazwa. "Thank you for taking your time," she said with a smile.

Nazwa welcomed Renata's hand and also smile at her. "You're welcome. Please, sit."

Renata unlinked their hands and sat back down. “Is this your Café?” she asked.

Nazwa took her place beside this beautiful-faced guest. "Yes. I founded it after divorcing Rafi,” Nazwa replied firmly.

Renata smiled at Nazwa's tone. Rafi is right, Nazwa is a firm and very independent woman. She never played with her life. If you don't know Nazwa, maybe people will see her as arrogant and curt. However, she is a kind and gentlewoman. And it's her assertiveness that makes her such an attractive woman. Renata has also heard a lot about Nazwa from Rafi, so she knows Nazwa's character.

"You are indeed a great woman, Naz," Renata praised.

"Thank you. I was just trying to survive the divorce. I have two children who need to be cared for properly. And that costs money,” said Nazwa.

Suddenly Renata's face turned sad. She looked into Nazwa's eyes. Guilt gripped her heart. “Naz, as I said yesterday, asking for your time to meet with me, is about the reason for your divorce from Rafi. But before I tell you, I need to apologize to you first.”

"Sorry? What for?" Nazwa said.

"You'll understand later after I tell you," said Renata.

"Okay," replied Nazwa even though she didn't understand what Renata meant.

Renata began to tell a story that caused a thunderclap in Nazwa's heart. She felt like she was dreaming in broad daylight. Renata told the story with tears running down her cheeks.

"Naz. I never intended to destroy your little family. However, circumstances forced. My father has brain cancer. Final stage. Doctors predict he will not live long. He wanted me to marry Rafi. Unfortunately only Rafi. Rafi, Naz! The man that the father trusted to take care of his daughter." Renata paused her story. He clasped his fingers to shake off the nervousness.

“I asked Rafi to discuss this matter with you. Begging your sincerity, to be willing to accept me as your honey. But Rafi thought that you definitely wouldn't agree, so he took steps to divorce you." Renata dared to look into Nazwa's eyes. Beautiful eyes, as beautiful as the owner's face. Now she saw the clouds were hanging on the two beautiful eyelids.

Nazwa was speechless. She was in shock! The thunder roared so violently that she felt the blood in his body stop flowing.

"Naz," Renata held Nazwa's hand. "Please don't blame Rafi. He is innocent. The position is stuck. He just wanted to return the favor. The devotion of a child to his parents. I can understand if you are angry. But please, please understand Rafi's reasoning." Renata shook her head.

"No." She was silent for a moment. "The reason we're doing this," she said quietly. "I just want you to position yourself what if you were in my and Rafi's position," Renata continued quietly when Nazwa looked at her.

Nazwa was still silent. Her mind was still tied with disbelief over what had happened in her life. Oh God, what did I do wrong? Sob inside.

Flashed through her mind before her divorce happened. Rafi is always angry for no reason. All of Nazwa's attention and treatment, which Rafi admired so much, turned into a mistake. Everything is wrong. Until Nazwa felt tired. Tired of arguments, cries and, screams. Physically and mentally tired. Unbelievably tired. The climax is the acceptance of Rafi's desire to divorce her even though she can never accept and even understand Rafi's reason for divorce. So, this is the real reason! Nazwa closed his eyes. Trying to build strength and calm. She took out the heavy burden in her heart along with her breath.

"You . . . already . . . marry?" giddy Nazwa asked.

Renata nodded. "A year ago. And two months later, my father died.”

"I'm sorry," Nazwa said sincerely.

"Thank you, Naz. You are a beautiful woman. Not only your face but also your heart,” Renata was so moved to hear the sincerity of Nazwa's tone. Even though she has been hurt, she still wants to empathize with someone who is the root of her pain. "No wonder Rafi adores you so much," Renata muttered later.

Hearing Rafi's name being called, out of nowhere came the strength in Nazwa's heart. “Sorry, but you came here on the will of Rafi? Don't mean to be rude, haven't you already got your wish? Then, what do you mean by telling all this?” asked Nazwa.

"No, Naz. My arrival was not at the will of Rafi. This is my own will. I want to confess my sins to you, for ruining your life, Rafi and the children. I'm not calm, Naz. Especially since my father died. I feel like Rafi… Rafi doesn't want to spend his life with me.” Renata looked down for a moment.

"It means?"

"Since we got married, Rafi has never touched me," Renata whispered.
