The second floor of the mall was a lot more deserted as most people here had already found some sort of shelter.
Ryan looked around and spotted a restroom near him so he quickly ran over to that corner.
He was drenched in a lot of blood and other weird stuff, so he wanted to wash his face, neck, and hell all of his body so as not to contract whatever weird disease was going on.
He also wanted to find a secluded corner to examine more of the mysterious black screen.
He had overheard others talk about their blue screens, but his screen was pitch black in color, completely different from the others. He didn’t know the significance of this small difference but he wanted to find out.
As Ryan neared the restroom mulling over several things in his head, he heard a familiar loud screeching noise. This could only mean one thing.
Another goblin, at least one was definitely inside the restroom!
He immediately stopped moving recklessly and slowed down his footsteps. Thinking of an idea, he bent down to remove his shoes that were soaked in blood and placed them aside.
He then clutched the kitchen knife in his hand and moved slowly towards the restroom. He inched closer and closer and tried to peer in to get an idea of what was happening.
He looked through the small gap in between the hinges of the door and hid his body against the wall.
Bang! Crash!
Inside the restroom, a young woman seemed to be throwing things at a goblin standing in front of her.
She was coincidentally wearing the same uniform as his, albeit hers was not as dirty as his.
Ryan instantly recognized her as she was a co-worker who slogged alongside him in the fast-food joint. Her name was Lily.
Bang!
The next second, another object flew towards the goblin. The girl seemed to be in an extremely bad state as she had nothing else left in her hands.
And whatever she threw was utterly useless. There wasn’t even a single scratch on the goblin’s body. The creature smacked its lips and looked at its victim with a strange gleam in its eyes.
Ryan could tell that it treated this girl differently compared to how it had treated the men downstairs. While the same viciousness still lingered in its eyes, he could clearly also see an unmistakable lust along with it.
The green-skinned creature eyed the young girl up and down, staring at the curvy parts of her figure. It licked its lips and walked forward making a low humming noise.
“Ahhh.” The young woman trembled.
But she was clearly too fear-stricken to move or run away, let alone fight back. Tears streamed down her eyes as she raised her hands helplessly and sobbed.
Her entire body was trembling. The sight of the strange creature staring at her with those disgusting eyes made her feel desolate and hopeless.
Silently, Lily couldn’t help but hope and pray for a swift death as she had a feeling that something much worse waited for her.
The monstrosity in front of her was just too much for her to take in and when the goblin took one more step toward her, her knees gave out and she dropped to the floor, sitting like a statue.
This was it. She was going to die.
Please let me die. She closed her eyes and bit her lips.
Lily expected the scrawny ugly claw to scratch her and maul her, but suddenly a loud voice resounded in the silent restroom.
“Die for me!”
The young woman was utterly shocked and flashed her eyes open immediately only to see a bloody figure standing in front of her.
He had a big knife in his hands and he stabbed the short body of the strange creature somewhere near its abdomen.
And he didn’t stop there. He withdrew the knife and stabbed it again and again. The goblin was completely caught by surprise and it didn’t have a chance to counterattack.
Scree! Scree! Scree!
It could only scream in pain and within a couple of seconds, it dropped down dead.
“Ahhhh!” Lily screamed as she was too shocked to witness this scene. The bloody person in front of her was even stronger than the strange creature and not to mention scarier.
“No! Don’t come near me. Please. Please.” She started to shout.
Ryan sighed and immediately hushed her. “Shhh! Stop making a ruckus. Do you want to attract every single thing on this floor? This is just me, Ryan.“
