Yoshi was the first to get up, running over to the teacher. "Hisoki, your not actually going to leave if you lose, right? Like, you are my favorite teacher, you can't just leave!" Hisoki turns to Yoshi, patting him on the shoulder. "Everything will be fine." Baker just listened, sitting in his seat. There is no way that this would end well if Hisoki loses. Why would he do something so stubid. "Hisoki, why did you make that deal?" Harley had walked out the door by now, saying that he needed to practice.
The professor shrugged, walking over to the door and opening it. "Why didn't I? This will be fun." He says, a smile on his face. Baker didn't know what to do, so he turned around to Mago. He knew two things about the boy behind him. One, he was the assistant, and two, he had known Hisoki before any of them had. "Tell me he's amazing at basketball." Baker begged, Kai and Wafi also looked at the two. Mago shrugged, getting in his seat. "He's terrible. I don't know why he did it." The tanned boy said, Baker staring at him. "Come on, let's go watch this childish game play out." Mago says, walking down the aisle that led to the door. Wafi and Kai hesitantly nodded, though Baker sat there.
Baker had a crush on his teacher, and he wouldn't just let it fly away. Not now.

Wafi knew who was going to win. Well, he didn't know, but he still had a very big feeling. This is how every book he has ever had, which was only two but he counted those dating sims he used to play when he was ten, ended. The protagonist won. Everyone cheered and happily ever after. But as he walked down the halls and towards the gym, he was still confused about one thing,
Who was the protagonist?
Who was he kidding, obviously it was Harley. He was popular, charismatic, smart, handsome. Had everything in the bag. He didn't like the rest of them, which was fine by him, but he still knew that Harley was going to win. Yoshi was walking beside him, and he could smell the worry. "Hisoki's going to be fine." Wafi muttered calmly. He knew Yoshi tended to get attached to people quickly. That wasn't him being a sub, that was him being himself. "But we might never see him again! As in ever! This is my favorite class, and the only one I'm actually not failing in. How could Harley do something so stubid?"
Wafi tended to be very honest with people. He knew that about himself, has for a while. Most of his friends could handle his brutally honest opinions and topics. There's no point in keeping silent, when in the end your going to have to stand up. It's just better to not lie. However with Yoshi, he couldn't do that. Never wanted to. Yoshi wasn't weak, not by a long shot, but he took anything anyone said to heart. Which would never end well.
But he loved Yoshi enough to not say things that would hurt him. Even if, in the end him keeping quiet only hurt the boy beside him. "Yoshi, you talking about him losing is not making anyone feel better. Actually have confidence in your teacher." He was being hypocritical, he also knew that about himself. They were once again, the laggers. Everyone else was probably all in the gym, besides them two.
The two walked in, silent.
Wafi didn't know much about basketball. Actually, he didn't know anything about the sport. He knew there was a ball, and a court, and a hoop. That was it. His parents were big fans of the sport, but he never was. There wasn't anything interesting in watching people do things on tv. Watching people isn't going to make him any better at basketball. It seemed Harley and Hisoki had already started the game, the scoreboard already showed two numbers.
1-0
He couldn't tell who scored, nor did he really understand. The numbers would go up by one or two or even three, and Wafi was lost. He was good at math, but basketball was a whole other court.
The two sat on the bleachers, watching their teacher in professional school attire, and Harley in basic school uniform, without the vest. Kai and Baker sat next to them. Wafi looked around, where was Mago? "I'm so lost." Baker mumbled, eyes focused on the game. Harley dribbled down the court, stopping before taking a shot. He makes it.
2-0
"At least I'm not the only one." Wafi says, laughing. "First to five wins, simple. I think they're going by single points though." Kai mumbles, leaning towards the edge of his seat, focused on the game. Wafi could never be like that, it made him laugh. "Lines?" Wafi asked, Kai glancing at him before heading back towards the court. "Don't think I forgot about what you two said. I wanna know every detail." Kai says, nudging Yoshi. "Fucking pervert." Yoshi muttered. Wafi turned to Baker. He was reading his book again, barely glancing at the game. He seemed so worried before, did he have confidence that they were going to win now?
3-0
Wait….. Is Hisoki actually going to lose? "First to five, right? Not ten, not six, but five?" Yoshi mumbles, looking to kai. He nods. They all suddenly pay attention to the game. Hisoki has the ball, running to the opposite side of the court, Harley right at his tail. He shoots, and misses. Wafi's face went grim as a reaction. Harley catches the ball, running to the other side of the court, his sneakers squeaking as he jumps and shoots, the ball aimlessly going into th hoop. Wafi sucked in a breath, looking at the scoreboard.
4-0
"Wow, your actually a lot worse than I thought, Hisoki." Harley says while laughing, passing the ball to Hisoki. Their professor kindly shakes his head. "No, I'm not bad. I have just been going easy on you." He says calmly, dribbling the ball with his right hand. Harley looks at him, and scoffs. "Don't, I'm the captain of the team. No need to belittle you." Hisoki shakes his head once more. "I'm not belittling you, I just feel bad."
There were no more words said after that, Hisoki starting the game by running to his goal. He glances behind him to see Harley, only a few paces behind. Instantaneously he had power, running faster than Wafi has ever seen him run before. What the hell? Hisoki jumps up, throwing the ball with a perfect arch into his hoop.
4-1
Wafi seemed to not be the only one who was shocked. "Wait…. What?" Yoshi asked, looking almost the same as Kai, leaning forward in his seat, focused on the game. No one answered him, watching as Hisoki passed Harley the ball. Harley silently took it, bouncing it a couple of times before running off with the ball, sliding past Hisoki and towards his goal. But Hisoki quickly ran faster than him, sliding his hand between Harley and the ball, stealing the rubber item from the capital. His dress shoes gripped to the floor as he turned, running and bouncing the ball to the other side of the court, jumping sideways and shooting the ball, it effortlessly going in.
4-2
It went on like this. Hisoki somehow gains the power to overtake Harley, shooting and always making it. Harley started to get messy, making wrong moves, running slower, and shooting with less aim. He was getting desperate, Wafi could tell. As Hisoki slowly gained points, Wafi got more and more worried. The teacher seemed calm throughout the entire game. Shoot correctly, and be the opposite of Harley. Always shaking with precision and aim, running faster and using his energy on only the best plays. He looked as if he was calculating every step, whilst still looking handsome doing it. Wafi bit his lip, leaning in closer to watch the game. He knew who was the protagonist now, but he had another question, oddly piercing through his mind.
What else was their teacher hiding from him?
Or better yet.
Why did he want to know so bad?
