Getting Sick

After sleeping outside on a cloudy day while having a small picnic event, Miso went back to their house with a cold. She tried so hard not to let anyone, not even her family know about it.

There was no poetic way to say how sick Miso felt. No metaphors or analogies to make her rising fever more palatable to the average reader. She was already sick, it was as simple as that.

Their grandparents had to be away and went to the city for a while, and even his twin brother had to accompany them as well. Chris was inside the house early before he said he would have to leave as well.

Miso could remember her grandfather saying, "Granddaughter. Don't do anything weird inside the house, okay?"

"What do you mean?"

"I already warned you in advance last time," her grandfather said.

Jay even chimed in, "Don't worry, grandfather. It doesn't really seem like Miso wouldn't really have the guts to do it in the house."
