[ The Trials of the Essence of the Law of Wood ]

An ancient gigantic tree standing in the middle of the Foggy Forest with a root system stretching for many miles. In actuality the tree's roots have spread across the entirety of the land and created shoots which have propagated an entire forest of new trees.

The forest encompassing the world of the trial of the Law of Wood was connected to one single life .

Gazing over his surroundings , Lin Lingtian couldn't help but smile . As someone who uses the Wood Dao Scripture , this trial was kinda special to him .

Small orbs of light floated from the branches of the gigantic trees infront of him .

This world was filled with quite the amount of life as Lin Lingtian gazed at the unique flora covering the gigantic trees .

But before Lin Lingtian could even admire the flora covering the land , he froze as he felt a presence behind him .

Goosebumps covered his skin as he felt a death like chill seeping into his very soul itself .

If one looked from the outside , they would see the corpse of a woman whose face oddly resembled Shen Xiu being hung behind Lin Lingtian's shoulder .

Lin Lingtian's mind was racing to make a plan as like all the other trials , he was powerless but Lin Lingtian slowly began to crouch down as he picked up dirt and stones .

He was waiting for the being that was producing this skin numbing presence to attack him .

After a few seconds , Lin Lingtian couldn't help but grit his teeth , the skin crawling presence behind was truly unbearable as he performed a somersault while throwing the stones towards whatever was behind him .

In the air , Lin Lingtian's eyes couldn't help but widen as he saw ..... Nothing .

The presence of whatever it was ..... was gone like it never existed.

Lin Lingtian couldn't help but click his tongue .

This trial is going to be as annoying the previous one.

Shaking his head , Lin Lingtian hand rubbed against the bark of the giant ancient tree.

Immediately upon hearing that sound , Lin Lingtian's head turned towards his right and his couldn't help but widen .

Standing on a branch high up in the gigantic trees was a redhead woman and she was steel melting capital H hot.

Long flowing hair that reached below her ass, legs that any man would kill to bury his face in between, and a dress (or were they stylish curtains?) that left very, ve-ry little to the imagination (Is that the string of her panties on the side of her hips!?). However her face, although gorgeous, was stuck in an absolutely disgusting mix of 'sharkweek bitchmode' and 'I'm holier than thou'. It was a face that could convince even a hormonal 14 year old teen boy that the bitch wasn't worth the hassle. It was also the face of someone he knew very well .

The woman standing on the branch of the ancient tree was Shen Xiu , Lin Lingtian's Ex-wife , who was murdered by him .

Thinking it was just an illusion , Lin Lingtian couldn't be any more surprised when Shen Xiu spoke to him ," Dear Husband , aren't you happy to see your wife ? "

As the wind picked up , Shen Xiu's figure disappeared like a steam to the wind .

" ~ Hehehehehehehhehehehhe~ "

Lin Lingtian couldn't help but sigh , this trial was truly mocking him .

The one clue that stands out about this place is the illusion of Shen Xiu.

Yes , the illusion as Lin Lingtian didn't for a second believe that was the real Shen Xiu , whose soul was personally released by him .

Picking up a stone , Lin Lingtian chipped away on the ancient tree as he peeled off strips of bark.

Taking off his socks , Lin Lingtian ripped his socks and tied everything with the strips of bark . Lin Lingtian was making a stone sling that would maybe help him in the trial .

As someone who had encountered those previous trials , Lin Lingtian knew that the challenges infront of him were hard but not impossible so he knew it was for the better if he was armed for any kind of danger .

Lin Lingtian wrapped his sling over the trunk of the tree and he began to use the sling to climb up the tree one step at a time .

A hour goes bye quickly as Lin Lingtian continued to climb up the tree .

Pushing aside the leaves of the tree , Lin Lingtian stood at the top as he gazed upon the land filled with nothing but green .

The Largest tree he had ever seen stood quite the distance away to the west of Lin Lingtian as he narrowed his eyes .

' Were the leaves of that Giant tree Glowing ? '

Due the distance , Lin Lingtian couldn't properly see if the leaves of the tree were truly glowing or was it just an illusion created by his mind .

Lin Lingtian clicked his tongue as he sat on the leaves of the ancient tree . His mind began to race as to what should he ?

Should he travel to that Goliath of a tree ?

Should he try to find that ' Shen Xiu ' ?

Lin Lingtian's mind reminded him of the skin crawling presence he had somewhat encountered.

This place was filled with a lot of unknowns and mysteries .

Lin Lingtian's eyes shifted to a figure standing a 100 meters from him .

Shen Xiu with the noose of an suicide or hanging rope around her neck was waving at him .

Ignoring her like he always did , Lin Lingtian's eyes shifted to the Goliath tree .

His first destination was decided as the Goliath tree would help him to observe everything around him .

Looking forward , Lin Lingtian saw that the distance between the trees was not that much .

Twirling the sling , Lin Lingtian after a couple of tries , was successfully able to wrap the sling around the branch that seemed strong concluded by a couple of pulls .

Taking a deep breath , Lin Lingtian jumped from one ancient tree to another but reality was bitch as Lin Lingtian felt something wrap around his ankle and pull him downwards .

" What ?! "

Caught off guard , Lin Lingtian's body plummeted to the ground from giant ancient that took Lin Lingtian an hour to climb .
