Chapter 5: Mt Moon

Right now the two trainers are in Mt Moon making their way through it but they stopped to battle some Pokémon along the way.

"Dodge and light it up with ember" Tepig dodged a supersonic and fired an ember attack at a wild Zubat they were fighting, Zubat is a blue, bat-like Pokémon. While it lacks eyes, it has pointed ears with purple insides and a mouth with two sharp teeth on each jaw. It has purple wing membranes supported by two, elongated fingers, and two long, thin, tails.

"Zuuuu" It cried out in pain as it hit the cave wall and fell to the ground.

"Alright let's get moving I think I hear another trainer to destroy up ahead, hehehe, hopefully after a few more battles Tepig will evolve" Gray laughed manically as the two friends and their Pokémon continued forward leaving the burned Zubat to fly away from the crazy trainer.

Unknown to the two trainers a small figure was hiding behind a boulder watching the battle with a star in it's eye, with a determined cry the creature followed the two trainers deeper into Mt Moon.(A/N: virtual cookie to anyone who can guess what Pokémon this is)

As they traveled down farther into the cave it looked like Gray was right and their was a trainer down the path.

Gray was battling trainer who had a Dwebble, Dwebble is a small, orange, hermit crab-like Pokémon with large pincers. It has dark, oval-shaped eyes supported by eye stalks. It has a hook-like tail that is concealed underneath the sectioned chunk of gray rock it uses as a shell.

"Dwebble use sand attack" the Dwebble grabbed a bunch of sand of the ground with it's pincers and flung it in the direction of Tepig.

"Tepig burn it with ember and follow up with tackle" Tepig fired of an ember attack that burnt up the sand and kept on going for Dwebble who blocked with it's pincer only for Tepig to slam into it knocking it out.

"Great job Tepig" Gray congratulated the pig as she picked him up and hugged him close not noticing a small figure charging at her from behind a boulder.

"Ooff" Gray was suddenly hit in the back of the leg by a small object and as she turned around her eyes lit up. In front of her was a Roggenrola but not just any Roggenrola it had a roughly spherical rock-like body. Its body is purple and covered in large, smooth facets. It has a hexagonal, orange artifice in the center of its body, leading to a hexagonal opening that functions as an ear. Roggenrola has a dark brown, rocky oblong atop its head and similar brown rocks that serve as feet, it was a shiny Roggenrola.

"A shiny!" Gray yelled out with stars in her eyes.

"Tepig flame charge" in their time in Mt Moon Tepig was able to perfect flame charge.

"Rolaaa" it cried out in pain as a flaming Tepig slammed into it knocking the small rock Pokémon out with the powerful move.

and with that Gray threw a Pokéball at the downed rock type, when the Pokéball bounced of Roggenrola's head it was consumed in a red light and sucked into the Pokéball, it rolled once, twice, and three times it clicked.

"Yeeeeeesssss, first shiny!" She yelled as she did a little victory dance.

"Let's get moving, you can congratulate after we get out of the cave" Julian told her as he kept walking ahead until they ran into another trainer.

"Now to test this cutie out, go Roggenrola" in a flash of light Roggenrola appeared.

In front of him was a female trainer and her Pokémon Sandshrew. Sandshrew is a bipedal mammalian Pokémon, but runs on all fours in the anime. Its brick-patterned yellow hide is dry, tough, blends in with desert sand, and protects its soft white underbelly and muzzle. Sandshrew has blue, almond-shaped eyes, a pointed snout, and triangular ears with white insides. Its tail is thick and conical. It has two long claws on each foot and three sharp claws on its forepaws.

"Use Tackle" Roggenrola charged at his opponent.

"Scratch" the opponent's Sandshrew also charged with it's claws raised. The two Pokémon met in the middle with Sandshrew slashing Roggenrola's body doing no damage to the defensive rock type, after Roggenrola tanked the scratch he slammed into the Sandshrew's less defended stomach with his rocky body knocking it out after it hit the cave wall to hard.

"Looks like Roggenrola here is a Tank" Gray decided as the female trainer returned her Sandshrew and ran off.

"I think that's enough battling for today, so let's get out of Mt Moon" Julian told her as she was hugging Roggenrola for the victory.

"Ugh, fine let's go" she relented after she saw the stern look in his eyes.

And with that the two made their way out of Mt Moon with a new catch.
