The following morning, after Lux did his morning routine to keep healthy, he made a quick breakfast. He opened the doors at five-thirty to allow the new employees, dressed up in the guild uniform he had a tailor make a few days before, to enter and understand a bit more of what their job would be.
"Welcome to the Adventurer's Guild. I am Lux, the guild master. I can see that some of you are stressed since you'll be starting a new job, but don't worry. Hazel will be present to help you and resolve any questions you might have." Said Lux at the group of new employees.
Amongst the employees, there were twelve women and eight men, all aged between fifteen and thirty years old. "Yesterday, I'm sure Aysha and Kira told you what would be your job, right?" Asked Lux to confirm with them and to help them slightly relax.
"Alright, in that case, I'll start by showing you around." He said as he started to walk around the building and explain the uses of the various facilities and items.
They finished fifteen minutes later. "Alright, the four counter attendants can wait behind the counter. Your only job is to help people register to become an adventurer, confirm the completion of a task and pay them. However, while it seems like a huge job, you will only have to ask a few questions and pay as Hazel will make the adventurer guild cards, analyze the completion of a task and tell you the total amount they would need to pay the adventurer." He said while four women between fifteen and twenty-five years old walked behind the counter and started to get used to their new post.
"The two dismantlers, I'm pretty sure you understand what your job is. When the adventurers come back with a monster part's monster corpse and sell them to the guild, Hazel will call you, and you will have your work. I'm expecting a clean job and storing everything properly once processed." He continued looking at two muscular men who had a severe expression while nodding and moving to their dismantling room on the side of the counter to get used to the various equipment.
"The floor supervisor," Lux said as a relatively tall woman walked out of the group and stood in front of him. "You're job is to make sure everything works well. In other words, if they need help behind the counter, you will help there, and if adventurers are getting rowdy, you tell them that if they continue, the adventurer's guild will kick them out. You will need a firm fist as adventurers aren't the most civilized gang." He said as the woman nodded as she stood on the side of the hall, ready to start working at any moment.
"The task receiver, you're only job is to wait for a client to arrive, ask the necessary questions which Hazel will transmit to you and work efficiently. Be aware that I will not accept any distinction, so even if a beggar arrives with money to pay for the task, you will entertain him and listen attentively to his task. Finally, even the king will have to line up, so don't let anyone step on your toes and cut the line. Is that understood?" He asked as he wouldn't want the adventurer's guild he recently created to be twisted at the whim of a noble. If the task receivers couldn't do the job, they would search for others to replace them.
Receiving a nod from the two men who walked towards the counter, he moved to the healers. "The healers have only one job. You have to listen to Aysha's instruction." He said while he received two nods of acknowledgement from the healers.
"Cleaners, I'm always expecting to have a clean building. Cooks and servers, I'm expecting a good relationship with the clients. Don't forget to clean after yourselves as the cleaners won't clean the kitchen or the tables of the clients. Finally, the shop supervisor and the two attendants, there isn't anything yet on the third floor. However, we will be receiving a large stock of potions. As such, present some of them on the shelves and store the rest in the storage for future stock." He finished as he gave a clear goal for all of them.
"Well, you can all go to your post. The guild will open in two minutes. There are already some people at the entrance of the building. You know your job. If you have any questions, Hazel is there so that everything will be alright." He finished saying his piece before he went back to his office on the fourth floor.
"Hazel, keep a close look on the employees to make sure they don't mess up too much." He said with a sigh as he sat at his desk and looked at the documents Hazel made appear in front of him.
[Understood. The documents in front of you are some long-term tasks that the king sent to you. They are mainly about the security of the dungeons. According to the king's words, since the adventurer's guild can take any tasks, he will pay more money to safeguard the dungeon and bring back the army if interested in the mission. There is also information on the frost dragon from yesterday. After all, a frost dragon cannot appear from anything but an ultimate-grade dungeon. As such, I suspect that far in the wild, a dungeon has evolved to ultimate grade.]. She explained as she showed the various documents.
With a nod, Lux focused on the dungeons protection task and monster extermination task of two lowest-grade dungeons and one low-grade dungeon. "For the dungeons, keep the mission on standby. We need to verify the actual strength of most adventurers before taking those tasks since an error could mean the death of countless people.
Anyway, the king won't bring back the army until adventurers take their place, so it's currently safe this way. If the king or minister ask about these tasks, tell them that it will take about a week for the adventurer's guild to be appropriately started to guarantee no errors on the missions of such importance." He explained as Hazel kept everything in mind and kept the task on standby in the system.
"As for the frost dragon, this brings back a question I had from back then. I have no doubts that I am invincible due to my power. However, there is so much unexplored land in the world. Who can say whether there are other intelligent species and countries around the globe? Moreover, who is to say that ultimate grade dungeons are the highest grade? Could legendary grade dungeons and mythical quality ones exist?
I remember that in old ruins, the information about dungeons said that they had two more dungeon grades than us, namely legendary and mythical grade dungeon. Do they still exist? If so, where are they? And if it is true, then aren't humans extremely vulnerable compared to the past civilizations who could destroy an ultimate grade dungeon with only a bit of difficulty. Currently, there is only me who can take care of them." Thought Lux out loud as he frowned as he reviewed the information on his desk.
"Hazel, keep this information in the dungeon folder in the ultimate grade section and add my speculations that another ultimate grade dungeon should have appeared in the wild. Add a five silver coin mission to Loit and gather information about the frost dragon that appeared in the wild. The information must include the amount of time it has been present in the wild and from which direction it came. Also, when Kira comes back, ask her to come to the office. I need to get the information on the frost dragon that she will have killed." He said as he closed the information page on the frost dragon, only for another one to appear.
[Understood. The new information is about another adventurer who registered yesterday. According to the analysis of his strength, he should be C rank. However, due to the limitations you placed, someone will have to fight him to guarantee his strength and skills.]. She said as she showed the man's profile.
"Perfect. Next time Ricky logs on to the task machine, notify him of his combat test promotion for the C rank adventurer. Set the date two days from now. We'll have a reason to open the testing ground under the guild building." He said, happy that he would use this hidden room he had the royal mages make and reinforce.
[I understand. I will notify the adventurer as soon as he connects.]. Hazel replied as the final information in front of him disappeared.
'Now, I only need to wait for Kira's report on the frost dragon, the information gathering task on the said dragon and the promotion of the guy named Ricky. Apart from this, everything is going well as important information is shared with others. It is already better than the past.' He thought to himself as he closed his eyes with a smile on his face, patting himself on the back for the great idea.
