Reencounter (part 01)

A week had passed since the conversation with Arthur and he every now and then would come over to chat.

My days passed quietly while nothing new happened.

It was just another day helping Sabrina at the restaurant, which had a good flow of customers.

Although my knowledge was already enough for the Academy exam, I asked Arthur to borrow some of his books, which he gladly agreed with, so my routine was fixed in a small series of actions that were done daily.

In the morning, just after sunrise, Sabrina and I would walk to the restaurant and make preparations for to open, help taking notes and delivering orders throughout the morning, when the flow was greater, in the afternoon, Artur would come to talk a little and after when he left, I'd go upstairs to one of the bedrooms and devour the books, ending my day after sunset, when the restaurant closed and we headed home.

And so more than a week went by, there were about five days until the exams and I had been repeating this schedule daily.

* * *

It was another afternoon and I was talking to Arthur downstairs.

"Only five days to go, are you nervous?" He asked as he ate a hot stuffed bun.

"Not really...." I replied lazily half lying on the table. "My days are just a little dreary..."

"*laughter* Don't worry, as I said, the Academy will be a nice change of scenery, in addition to theoretical knowledge, we can listen to several lectures from various professors, participate in debates and have a huge library where you'll find a wide variety of books, we will also have hunting and combat lessons, as well as war strategies, I believe you will like it" Artur said trying to cheer me up.

"I hope so" I nodded my head as I continued "Hunting, combat and war strategies sound interesting, can't wait"

We were talking happily until we heard a sarcastic voice interrupting us "You haven't even passed the exams and already thinks you'll get into the Academy, ridiculous!"

Arthur got angry and got up from his chair, turning around he seemed to know the person as his gaze lost all heat and turned cold as ice as he roared "Shut up Maely, this is none of your business and don't meddle in the conversation of others".

He ignored her and went back to the table before apologizing "I'm sorry Elora, ignore her words, I better than anyone else know of her abilities and rest assured that you will pass the tests"

I nodded, not caring about what had happened, I never cared what other people said about me, it wasn't now that I would care.

"Elora!?" Suddenly I heard someone calling my name, the voice was a man's, he seemed surprised to see me there.

I looked where the voice was coming from, it was the person next to Maely, I meeting those familiar gray eyes, I couldn't help but momentarily freeze, equally surprised.

"You!"
