The Mordha Family (part 02)

I couldn't hide anything from my grandfather, of course, like the former emperor, he had a sharper eye than most people.

I decided to tell him what I had been thinking for the last few weeks and without ceremony I asked him. "Was there any noble family in Aran surnamed Aires?"

He raised his eyebrows intrigued by my question, remaining silent for a few seconds he turned back to answer. "At the moment I can't answer you for sure if there was, but this name is no stranger to me, I'll have to look through the records of the last few decades before I give you an affirmative answer. Why were you intrigued by that last name?"

"A girl, the first place in the externum exam"

"Didn't expect you to be intrigued by a commoner girl" Exclaimed my grandfather in amazement.

"She doesn't look like a commoner, she appears more like a refined young lady from a hidden family than a commoner, whether we're talking about her perspective on how to see things, her ideas, skills or her knowledge, it's all way above for normal. even from the knowledge of the young nobles in Marva, he does not appear to be someone mediocre"

"You speaking this way, it really is intriguing, I will search the Royal Library and if I find something I will summon you" He reaffirmed when he remembered something and then added. "Before I forget, Aran misses you, as your nephew, you should visit your uncle more often, as the eldest grandson of this generation there is a good chance you will inherit the throne if you show yourself capable, so learn well from him and not shame our family" He concluded with a solemn look.

"I understand grandfather, on my next break I will visit Uncle Imperial"

"Well, you're excused, go ahead"

"With your permission grandfather"

After the conversation, I walked back to my room to change and later go to lunch.

The rest of the afternoon was spent in the library, studying politics, management and philosophy.

The Mordha family was directly linked to the current Royal Family, we shared the same blood and my grandfather, as he was the father of the current emperor, even after passing the throne to his heir, he still had many responsibilities with the kingdom.

I was the eldest grandson of this generation and the likely successor to the next crown, my uncle's children were still too young, the eldest being three years old and the youngest who was yet to complete his first year of life.

From a young age I have always witnessed those fawning eyes of everyone from the same generation as me, trying to gain benefits through connections with me.

From an early age I learned to be indifferent and keep a facade, but that all changed after rescuing that girl on that snowy day.

She didn't look at me with those eyes I've always seen since I was a child, I could see that in her eyes I was no different from other people, something that intrigued and captivated me.

What secrets does she carry behind that facade she carried all the time?
