The Mordha Family (part 01)

Brayan's point of view:

Days passed and I always kept the same routine from two weeks ago.

I would wake up after dawn and practice some martial arts with my private mentor in the south courtyard of the Mordha Family mansion. After morning practice I would go back to my room and wash up, getting ready to go to the Academy.

The men's uniform was similar to a suit, the sky blue inner shirt with a slightly darker blazer over the top, the pants were matched with the shirt, in a darker tone providing a visually comfortable contrast, at the edges of the sleeve and neck of the blazer, gold patterns were embroidered and on the left chest I carried the gold standard brooch given by the Academy.

I quickly dressed and walked down the stairs from the mansion to the kitchen for breakfast.

"Good morning, Young Master" As I descended the stairs I heard the butler greet me, which I returned with a polite smile. "Good morning butler Denzel. Where are my father and grandfather?"

"They informed that they will be going down to eat soon and that I need not wait for them, the court has had some problems lately and Old Master and Master are supporting their Royal Majesty."

I nodded in understanding and sat down at the table to eat my meal patiently.

Finishing my meal I got up and asked to call the coachman to take me so I could attend my morning classes.

The Academy was not far from the Mordha House, but my grandfather insisted that I go with a carriage, as he said: 'It is a matter of safety and honor', but for me it was unnecessary.

The morning passed uneventfully, on this day we would not have practical classes in the afternoon so I returned home early.

Approaching the house before I even finished I heard the maid greet me. "Welcome back Young Master! Old Master awaits you in his office."

"I'm on my way"

I went in and up the stairs towards my grandfather's office, there were many rooms and the office was located at the end of the south corridor.

I arrived in front of his door and knocked softly announcing my arrival. "Grandfather, I am informed that has requested my presence, are you available now?"

"Oh Brayan, come in" I heard the elderly voice answer from the other side of the oak door.

I pushed open the door and walked in before I heard him speak. "Sit down, Grandpa wants to talk to you for a while"

Taking a seat in the chair across from the table he was at, I looked him in the eye before asking without wasting time. "What do you want to talk about, grandfather?"

"Obviously about your academic life" He replied promptly. "How are things going?"

"Everything is fine, classes aren't difficult and practical classes aren't a problem either. I've made some friends and haven't had any setbacks in the last two weeks."

"Well that's good." I saw him nod his head in satisfaction and proceed with his interrogation. "You sometimes seem thoughtful about something the last few weeks, what's been troubling your mind lately?"
