Selenicereus Witti

The next day, right after breakfast, I dressed in my uniform, put on a cloak with a hood, and headed towards the flower shop.

It was still early and there was little movement in the streets, there were traces of morning mist and the sun was glimmering on the horizon.

After walking for about 30 minutes, I finally spotted the familiar place and took a closer look.

There was a medium sized wooden sign with the words 'Moon Flower Floriculture' in gold lettering in exquisite calligraphy with a moon flower drawn on the side.

Closer inspection reminded me of Sabrina's restaurant sign and couldn't help but think that this style is a way to identify with ourselves.

I averted my gaze from the sign and pushed the store door, entering, I saw the most diverse types of flowers, there were Jasmines, Daisies, Sunflowers, Roses, Gardenias, among others coloring the space.

I approached the counter and soon an employee appeared to assist me with a typical smile. "How could I help you today? Are you here to buy ready-made flowers, bouquets or seeds?"

"I wonder if you could pass a message to the store manager?" I asked politely.

"Of course, what would you like to tell her?"

"Tell her this: The Selenicereus Witti in the tree trunks of the flooded areas have already spread their seeds and are ready to bloom, would you like to watch this show with me in the moonlight?" I smiled as I added. "Can you pass that message on to her? In the meantime I'm going to take one more look at the flowers here."

The clerk gave me a strange look in her eyes that seemed to reflect her disgust at my presence, but she suppressed her displeasure by well covering up that brief fluctuation of emotions she let slip and left to deliver the message.

While waiting, I turned my gaze to the flowers once more, the sunflowers and daisies were a beautiful vibrant yellow and their leaves were a healthy green, I could see that they were all very well cared for.

The vibrant colors were everywhere and conveyed an air of serenity giving more color to the place.

I found a stool in a corner of the room and sat down, watching the landscape and people passing by.

It wasn't long before I heard hurried footsteps from upstairs descending the stairs and soon I could see a tall woman with black hair arranged in a high bun, she wore simple black-framed glasses and was wearing a yellow dress that reached just below the knees.

She stopped and stared at me with her black eyes and after I confirmed who was the person in front of me I got up slowly and took the hood off my head before introducing myself.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Elora, Elora Aires, Sabrina told me about you before I came here and told me I could find some answers talking to an old acquaintance of my grandmother, can we come and talk a little? " I asked with a simple smile on her face, she conveyed the same feeling as Sabrina, a feeling of familiarity and security.

I saw a smile that reached her eyes across her face before I heard her voice that reflected her happiness. "Of course, come in, welcome to my humble floriculture, I'm Joyce and it'll be my pleasure to help you!"
