1st day (part 02)

With all the rules being presented, all 35 groups headed to the open field that was used for archery practice located just behind the buildings where we were staying.

It was a large field, perfect for practice, with about 4000 m² and around it there were bleachers for those who wanted to watch the whole process.

For those in the stands, binoculars were used as the distance between the targets and the stands was considerable and after everyone had settled in, the first part of the race officially began.

One of the people from the Lord's house of the city soon walked to the field and stopped in front of the 175 students who were present there before announcing loudly "One group from each kingdom will be evaluated in turn, the order, first the Kingdom of Aran followed by the Kingdom of Genevieve, Kingdom of Avalon, Kingdom of Vaughan and finally the Kingdom of Aodh. You will have a deadline of 2 minutes to hit as many targets as you can in this first phase, I wish you all a good one luck!"

Among the groups formed, there were both groups composed only of first-year students, others with only second-year students and some mixed groups that had members from both years.

To equalize the numbers, each kingdom had exactly the same number of groups, and in the end it will be 7 rounds until it ends.

Soon, the first group of Aran's students walked to their positions after briefly discussing what each would be in charge of.

The targets were in various positions, there were some lined up next to each other, others on the ground, in higher and lower regions, when everyone was ready the person in charge of checking if no one was cheating gave the start signal, a few dozen arrows were fired at the same time.

It was like lethal rain raining down on the open field when each team member took charge of a specific spot.

There were a few hundred targets and it was allowed to run horizontally as long as it didn't go beyond the established distance mark.

When we least expected it, the two minutes ran out and went into the scoring.

In the end, Aran's first group of sophomores scored a total of 317 points and returned to their seats.

In this way, the second, the third, until reaching the seventh group of the first round in which, curiously, only the veteran students participated.

At the end of the first round, the numbers on the scoreboard began to be updated on a large mural placed on the side of the field.

||| Score |||

Aran - 317

Genevieve - 314

Avalon - 320

In the end, the difference between the scores wasn't much different, but that was just the beginning!
