The Debutante Ball (Part 04)

Elora's point of view:

"How was your trip?" I asked lightly as I asked him to sit down.

"It was quiet, we didn't have any interruptions and the only thing that annoys me is those spoiled young nobles" Neila replied without any courtesy.

"Thank you for your hard work" I laugh as I say it.

"How are the preparations? Do you need anything?" She asked when she saw that I turned my gaze to the document in my hands.

"It's almost ready, just a few small details that didn't take much time, how are our guests?"

"Everyone must be either in their rooms or roaming around the mansion"

"Let them do what they want as long as they're not a nuisance"

Neila and I talked for a while longer before she left the office.

The dance was in three days and there were still things to be decided, the event itself was not a problem but what needed more attention was the baptism we went through on the day we became adults.

Finishing my work, I put all the documents away and got ready for dinner.

Down the stairs I walked towards the dining hall where everyone would be gathered for the meal, by the time the guests from three of the four kingdoms had already arrived and everyone would be present.

Arriving at the door of the hall, I saw Joyce who was talking to someone else in the distance.

"Young Lady, I see you've finished your business since you've come down to dinner" Joyce said when she saw me.

"Yes, everything is finished and besides said, I must entertain my guests, right?" I answered it with a slight smile and pushed open the door to enter.

"Yes, you're right, dinner will be served in fifteen minutes"

"Okay, I'll be waiting"

Passing through the door, I soon saw that some people were already there waiting, I greeted them politely and walked to my usual place.

In the hall there was a single table, we all had the habit of eating together at the long table.

I sat beside the chair reserved for the Matriarch, as her daughter I had the right to sit there, waiting.

It didn't take long for the hall to fill with people and soon dinner was set.

Taking my glass I got up and facing the people there, she said with a slight smile. "Welcome again to Aires House, thank you all for accepting our invitation and I wish you all a great stay"
