Afterword

The others followed close behind me and they were all staring at those same words written in the ancient language and dyed scarlet red.

"That's bad" I muttered under my breath but my voice echoed throughout the hall.

"What does that mean Matriarch?" Asked someone.

I take a deep breath for a while and continue to stare at those scarlet words as if I've fallen into a daze.

It was only after several minutes that I turned my attention to the others and said in a solemn voice.

"As you all know by now, when a Deity is corrupted, he becomes a fallen God and is banished to an alternate space-time where there is only chaos to pay for his infractions."

"However, in all the records found, there was only a single God who managed to redeem himself within the Chaos and ascend to his former rank"

"The Gods are actually incarnations of a natural primitive will, which arises without being premeditated, so when they forget or deviate from their original mission, they can be corrupted"

"In ancient times, there was a certain civilization that emerged after the end of chaos on Earth, formed by messengers who were sent to maintain order and they called themselves the 'Guardians of Primal Chaos', building a temple that was said to be the gates to the prison of the Gods, a space-time separate from this reality"

"It was believed that they guarded the place, preventing people with bad intentions from opening this prison, however, records say the place was devastated and disappeared, never to be found again, some think there was a collapse in the space of the region that swallowed all that civilization, however many years passed and there was no more information about them, so it was forgotten"

"So... Do you mean that...?" Another one spoke hesitantly.

I took a deep breath and nodded with absolute certainty. "Yes, this must be where the passage to that space-time is"

I heard several close breaths behind me, all of them stunned by the new findings.

If the 'An Sinnsir' were successful in opening this passage, I don't even want to imagine what would happen.

However, several questions were still in my head. "Why did they choose to do this? Do they not know the consequences of their actions? What prompted them to do so? And how did they discover this place?"

But there was no point in continuing to think about it, it would just be a dead end.

I turned to the other witches following me and said in a neutral voice. "Scavenge the place, make copies of any documents you find and I would like one of you to copy the engravings on the wall so they can be studied later, within two days we'll be heading back to the main mansion"

"Yes ma'am!" They all responded in chorus before separating and starting to record everything that was useful.

Two days later, we were all ready to go back, I would have to make new adjustments to our action plan, the situation seemed to be more serious than we imagined and we had to create an alternative plan in case we couldn't stop them in time.

The threat had now reached an entirely different level.
