Recognition (part 02)

The trip didn't last long and about half a day later we could already see the ruins.

With the guard up and carefully observing the surroundings, when we were all sure there was no one nearby, we walked slowly towards the entrance.

Entering the main temple and reviewing its impeccable internal state, in my heart I couldn't help but reflect. "How magnificent was this tribe in the old days?"

Seeing that the sun was already setting outside, I turned to the others and said.

"In less than thirty minutes we will officially start the operation, everyone take a lamp with you and look for anything that might be relevant to our future research"

"We'll be in the main palace area for about an hour and after that we'll all go deeper"

Seeing everyone nod indicating that they had understood, I reminded them of a few things and after the thirty minutes had passed, they all began to explore the surroundings.

The group was not large and had about ten people, which facilitated coordination, teamwork and kept us discreet.

Anyone who found us at most would think we were some adventurers looking for treasure.

After the first hour had passed, everyone stopped and listed their finds.

Looking at the results I could only exclaim inwardly. "A larger, planned group actually gives much better results"

Confirming the findings, I turned to one of the corridors that were just behind the main hall.

There were ten tunnels in total, but so that we wouldn't get separated or fall into unfamiliar traps, I decided that we would all explore the tunnels together.

Turning to the first tunnel on the left, I made a score in my heart before turning my gaze to those behind me and saying.

"It's better not to split up then, we'll explore the tunnel on the left first and after finding it we'll go to the next one"

"Yes ma'am" Replied the others upon hearing my words.

Nodding lightly to them, I took the lead and headed for the first tunnel.

With the small lamp in my hand, I lit the long corridor and continued on.

There was nothing unusual or peculiar about the entrance, just smooth stone walls with no hidden meaning.

We continued walking and about half an hour later, we finally reached the end of the tunnel and were faced with a breathtaking view.
