Plans can't keep up with the changes

"A blue dragon that can turn its body into a diamond should be a diamond dragon. And it's the source of your newly comprehended dragon rune." Sebastian pointed out the source of the skeleton.

"And if it was able to show you a vision, then this skeleton is pretty strong and can already be used by you as materials for a puppet."

"But, I have a better suggestion for you." Sebastian spoke with a mysterious smile.

But, that only made John angry, so he jumped up and tried to punch Sebastian, he 'tried' but didn't succeed as Sebastian dodge the punch and then kicked John in the stomach into a dragon skeleton rounding up a cloud of dust.

"Cough* Just tell me if you have any suggestions, Sebastian. No need to kick me that hard." John stood up from the cloud of dust wearing his Rahu Type 01 small mecha.

He was unscathed from the impact due to him requiping the small mecha suit before he was hit by Sebastian's kick that obviously held back.

"What I meant is to use this skeleton as a base and just create a real dragon puppet, and you coincidentally learned a dragon rune that can give this dragon puppet some soul." Sebastian suggested seriously.

"And with some improvements, you can make the dragon puppet shift into a big humanoid mecha for you to drive in."

"Not to mention how handsome that can be, arriving at the battle on a dragon and just as the enemy thought that they're fucked, the dragon transforms and shocks them even more."

John seems to see the future that Sebastian just painted for him, him arriving in front of a dark guild on a giant dragon, and then transforming the dragon into a giant winged mecha and obliterating the whole guild.

John's eyes shined at the thought and immediately placed the entire hill-like skeleton inside his space, and just as they were about to search for a few more complete and strong skeletons like this one.

When a few voices sounded from a tunnel not far from their location, John quickly turned off the magic lamp and their whole area plunged into darkness with the only remaining source of light being the one where the voices came from.

"Let's take a closer look." John whispered to which Sebastian and Cana nodded to, and they slowly walked in the direction of the voices.

There they saw a group of five people three males and two females, the leader seemed to be a man with a metal mask that covers his entire lower face and was coated in black with two scythes on his back.

The man is scolding another man wearing a traditional Japanese fishing outfit commonly seen in the ports of Japan, the most eye-catching detail of this man is his long, wild, and spiky mane of black hair and a giant flag pole on his shoulder with a fish symbol on it.

"How could there be light in such a gloomy graveyard, Uosuke, you must be seeing things again. And not to mention that the entrance to this graveyard is behind us, we should have surely seen if anybody entered this place or not."

"But, I'm sure I really saw light there." Uousuke scratched his head, confused about the matter as he really did see John's light in their direction.

Then a large man with blond hair styled into a spike pompadour wearing a light-colored shirt along with a sleeveless jacket with fur around the neck and the words 'ACID RULE' on the back stepped up and spoke.

"Maybe you are just too tired, Uosuke. You should take some rest, Pan."

Uosuke nodded sadly, he also thought that maybe he was too tired, they did spend three days straight here, so maybe it was time to take a breather.

"Uosuke, you can go take a rest today and for tomorrow, we'll handle the needed executions for those times." The leader ordered Uosuke to take a break, to which the man accepted and lifted his flag, and left the graveyard while the rest continued to stay there apparently preparing to eat some food.

"Do you know who those are, John?" Cana asked quietly while taking a sneak peek at the group.

"If I'm not wrong, those people should be the elite team of knights named Garou Knights that serve directly under the king himself." John answered while taking a serious look at the group.

Based on his memories the Garou Knights debuted in the Grand Magic Games Arc as a small group of elite knights comparable to S-Class magicians.

Their members use different types of magic that put the Rescue team on a sharp edge, the one that stuck to John the most was the magic used by Uosuke.

Uosuke is a user of Terrain Effect Magic which allows him to bestow upon a certain terrain he deemed different effects like Gravity, Lava zone, and Whirlpool zone.

These changes literally change the topography of the area he uses his magic on, it's like an extra cheap version of Universe One.

It's also one of the magics John planned to learn to enhance his domain even more by adding different effects inside his domain to make it more difficult for his enemies.

"Let's quickly take as many skeletons as possible and leave this place immediately lest we get caught." John said as he slowly backed away from the place trying to avoid making any possible sounds.

Crack*

Then a cracking sound appeared in the quiet cavern which caused the Garou knights to look in John's direction which happened to be behind Sebastian the one that made the sound.

John looked at Sebastian and saw that the butler had a smile on his face while broken bones lay under his foot, Sebastian obviously did it purposely.

"Distract the enemies by yourself, while I and Cana go on collecting Skeletons. Remember, I'll base how good you perform this time on the number of good skeletons you can redeem."

After saying that he turned into a blur and disappeared with Cana leaving John standing in place staring at the air blankly.

Then he heard the steps of the Garou Knights from behind along with the leader's shout.

" The one hiding in the dark, Identify yourself!" The leader shouted through his metal mask while taking off the scythes from his back and holding them in his hands.

Then without waiting for John to say any words he rushed forward and split the bones John was hiding behind in.

What greeted him was John in his mecha blocking his right-hand scythe with a blade covered with ethernano.

Just as they took a look at each other, John fired bullets at the man's face to which the man jumped back and twirled his two scythes to block the rain of bullets.

"Who are you?" The leader of the group asked John because, in the booklet of those about to be executed, there was no face or look of John on any page.

"I am." John deliberately drew out his voice making those who are at the scene want to punch him due to him drawing out the sentence.

"Batman."
