Chapter 6: A friendly Monster.

As they advance, John thinks "What is he telling me? ... My father a traitor? ... Is it true what the computer told me? And if it is, where am I going? Restless in the midst of so many thoughts, he does not notice that Lorraine is staring at him and waiting."

"What are you thinking John?"

-"Sorry, you, don't you have to find your mother?"

"Yes, although I'm sure nothing bad will happen to her. My father still loves her, and should know where she is, just leave her alone."

"And you, why did you leave the bunker?"

"Because my father is the cause of this disaster, and even so, he wants to obtain more Pentario to conquer the world completely. I don't want to be an accessory to so much misfortune and since I can't do anything, I just want to not be, not be a participant in that horror. I wish this all ended."

Suddenly, John senses a presence, and in a split second he stops a projectile with the blade of the machete. From among the bushes, menacing beings with rough and smelly skin appear. Lorraine is scared but only manages not to move.

"Who are you?" Asks John.

"They are genomes!" Lorraine, barely says.

"Give us everything you have! " They say with their disgusting stinking mouths. John unintentionally begins a dizzying dance at lightning speed, and responds.

"I cannot stop!"

"You are idiot! Want to die?

To the amazement of all, John, disappears, and reappears right behind them; hitting one of the robbers. But the most astonished is he, who feels that he is acting on strange impulses that he cannot control, but which are undoubtedly for his benefit.

"Go away, if you don't want trouble!" He warns them.

Lorraine does not understand John's attitude, nor does she explain where she gets so much strength, energy and speed; Is it really human?

John has just understood that sometimes it is not he who decides how to face or defend himself from aggressions, all the more reason, he thinks to doubt his humanity. What he doesn't understand is who, or who, manages his brain at times.

- Release the beast! Shouts one of the genomes. An orange flash, and a large circle is painted on the ground from which emerges a cyclops with a rigid cape connected by steel tentacles to its head - let's see if you can beat our cyclops!

The creature pounces on John and tries to hit him with his fist, but he knocks him down. The monster stands up and when everyone thought it would try to defend itself, it begins to scream.

"That hurt! -He says - that's enough! I'm fed up!"

- What are you doing? Fool! -Said one of the genomes, which chain in hand whips him. Kill him, right now! The whipping the monster receives ceases when John removes the chain from the executioner and begins to hit the attacker hard. Seeing the bravery of his savior, the beast rises but this time he reveals himself against his former bosses who constantly mistreat him:

"Geranio, do not like violence! Genomes do not own Geranium! - and the beast begins to deal blows that send its attackers flying through the air. - You, be friends with Geranio! -Said the giant approaching John while pointing at him with his finger. Geranio does not want to continue with them!"

"Forgive me! " John says, surprised at the abrupt change of sides "I did not know that they mistreated you!"

"I am Geranio! They hit me all the time, you just once, and they don't fuel my cables with gasoline. I want to go with you!"

"Okay, come with us," John says, smiling at such a character. The giant jumps with happiness circling around him. What they see and hear is more like a comic movie than a tragic scene

"Geranio have a friend! Geranio is happy!" It is funny that such a mole behaves like a small child. Undoubtedly, his brain must be the size of a peanut. There is no room for speculation or malice in it. It is only about being loyal to whoever transmits love.

"Do you think I should come with us, Lorraine? " John asks. Geranio approaches her with outstretched arms.

"Pretty little woman be friends too!"

She, although trembling with fear, warns him:

"Stay away from me!"

"I think the idea of ??taking Geranio with us is a good idea" says John "it can be of great help with its imposing size, when faced with the unexpected."

They begin their interrupted journey south again, reaching a town at the entrance of which is what remains of a rickety welcome sign. It's about Herv. The inhabitants are fearful in the presence of the giant and when it approaches they flee to hide. It is useless trying to explain to them that it is harmless. That's where they were, when before they knew it, a gang of thieves makes their entrance.

"Give us everything!" indicates the one who appears to be the boss. John, with an unfriendly face, stands in front of the thug. The man insists and before receiving an answer, one of his companions enters flying like a bird, through the door of the store. Geranio had intervened. The man for a few seconds does not come back from his astonishment when he sees that his comrade lies on the floor defeated by the Cyclops, who without much effort quickly defines the situation in favor of his new friends. A big smile of satisfaction is drawn on his face.

"Insects are not friends with Geranio" he affirms. The man in the store, still shocked and moved, as a token of gratitude presents them with food.

"Is there anything we can do for you? Who are these nefarious characters?" John asks.

"They call themselves the "Horsemen of Destruction". There are more and more and all they do is cause terror wherever they go. We have lived in fear for a long time and we don't know what to do. Some families left the village, but these horror characters are growing everywhere and everyone is afraid of them."

"How do they get into town?"

"Through a tunnel that they dug themselves. What's more, we believe they take refuge in caves and some live underground."

"We will take care of sealing that tunnel."

"Are you sure you will do it?"

"You don磘 have to worry about them anymore. We will take care of"
