"The work of the hypnotist is to help the subject access that which they cannot face. The brain works in order to protect us from the truth, if this proves to be harmful. A hypnotist will gently and carefully guide the patient inside their own mind, and unravel the secrets lying there so the subject can face their hidden truths and heal. It is not to be confused with the bastardisation applied by certain Sanguinaires, who force their compulsion on others. Hypnotism does not compel a patient into doing what they do not wish to do, it helps them discover who they are. Compulsion takes away the subject's freewill, and is thus imposed on the unwitting victim."
