She sat there cross-legged, the hospital gown crinkled around her legs, her eyebrows furrowed as she concentrated on the options laid in front of her. Two yellows, Two reds and one wild. The card that laid on the table was blue. She picked the wild card and dropped it on top of the blue one.

Isobel pursed her lips, "What colour?"

Anna looked at her cards, "Red," she said, eyeing the cards in Isobel's hands. She withdrew a card from the pile stacked at the corner of the table.

Anna asked, "I saw you in the barn that night," Isobel's hands stopped in the middle of placing that card on top of Anna's wild card. She took in a sharp breath before continuing.

"Yeah, I was there," Isobel placed a red card with the number 9 written on it.
