Letter Twenty One

Hi dad

I got the job, dad. I will be working as a barista at the cafe. Henry is the owner, and he is the nicest person. When he came to know about my condition, he said I could leave any moment if I didn't feel good. And for the hospital checkups, I could go too and then come back if I felt okay.

I will be starting tomorrow, and my shift will begin after school finishes. So I will be home by nine.

The other reason I wanted this job was to earn some money so if in the future, my heart would decide to give up again; my mom could afford another surgery. I don't want to be a burden on her; I want to help her. But, unfortunately, since you are not here to help us, we have to look for ways in order to help ourselves without begging you to take just one look at us.
