Letter Twenty Three

Hi dad

Guess what happened? Dylan asked me out about a month ago. I didn't agree right away, but he was very persuasive. He promised that our friendship would never change and we would always be best friends first before moving onto another label. Eventually, I said yes to being his girlfriend.

If you were here, I know you would give him a stern look, your eyes crossed lips pressed in a thin line giving him a look of disapproval. You would lecture him on how to treat me right, and if you found me crying for him, it would be his head and your baseball bat.

I kind of miss that father and daughter's boyfriend moment. Mom did give him a look, but you know she's lighthearted about these kinds of stuff. She knew Dylan from kindergarten, so she trusts him a lot. Maybe more than she trusts me.
