New Story 'Bleed For You'

My grandfather's voice trailed off as he abruptly stopped in his tracks. His attention was captured by the sight of an elderly person tightly embracing a little girl, his anguished expression evident.

As for me… It was her… The motionless little girl in the elder's embrace…

I couldn't bring myself to look at her face, but her lustrous stunning golden hair cascading down to the ground caught my eye. It resembled shimmering liquid gold, radiating a mesmerizing glow that seemed to be the sole source of brilliance amidst the darkness that enveloped us.

In an instant, my entire body froze, and my mind went blank. For some reason, my young self couldn't tear his eyes away from those golden locks. It was as if I had been enchanted, spellbound by their beauty.
