It didn't feel like a good start to be caught by Rias Qi waves, faint, and wake up, lying in both Rias' and Eos' arms. She wouldn't have minded waking up in Eos's lap, but not in both Rias's and his. 'I'm not a weakling,' Ciri thought.
She realized that what had happened might have been an accident. Ria didn't want to hurt her? What cultivation technique had his sister used? She couldn't think of what it was called. But it had been terrifying to be drawn into its power.
Ria had to be at least a realm above her even though she herself had gone from being in the primary Nascent Realm to the primary Soul-Sea Realm. And on top of that, she was a supreme. And no one knew how strong they were. Ciri looked up at Eos with wide eyes. He hadn't been drawn in or affected by his sister's Qi waves. Was it because he was her sister, or was it his own strength that protected him...?
How strong was her master?
"I'm sorry, Ciri. I didn't mean for you to get sucked into my Qi waves. I hope you're not angry with me," Ria said to Ciri. Ciri wasn't entirely sure it had been an accident. She had understood that his sisters were overprotective of him but not this fiercely overprotective...
There was an undertone in Ria's voice that made Ciri interpret it as 'You shall know your place. Obey and protect Eos with your life. And there are worse things than death...'
"I'm not angry senior sister, but I'm disappointed in myself. How am I supposed to protect your brother, my master, if I pass out?"
Ria looked at Ciri in wonder.
"What do you mean?" She finally asked.
"I fainted and was drawn into a dream just by being near you after you had recently cultivated..." Now Ciri's face was bright red, but Ria didn't care.
"It was just the residue that made me faint... "
"That's not so strange. It's a technique for immortals. I have the ability to cultivate the elements of darkness. I shouldn't have that ability, but I was born with it. Normally you need to have Moon-Realm cultivation to cultivate light or darkness. Neither Eos nor Aria can cultivate dark elements but, Aria can cultivate the light element."
"If I may ask, What realm are you in?" Ciri asked Ria.
"Aria and I are in the primary Deity realm."
A person began his cultivation journey in the Qi realm to continue it towards the higher realms, Gold-Core, Nascent, Sea-Soul, Deity, Sky, Moon, Sun, Star, and beyond. When you reached Moon cultivation, you were immortal, which almost no one was able to do.
Less than one in ten million cultivators were able to achieve immortality and, only one in a hundred thousand were able to reach the Deity-realm. And it was only one in ten of the population who could cultivate and use Qi.
With two Deity-realm cultivators and Ria and Aria were supremes, the Yinpai sect was strong even compared to the largest sects.
Ria smiled at Ciri. "Welcome to the Yinpai sect. We are so far only twelve, including you. Eos is our sect leader as you know, and I and Aria are the elders. I have two direct disciples, Desmor and Cyrus, and Aria has Drake. And now Eos has you and Nephele."
"We are not many but, we have quite a lot of influence on everything near the wind mountains and especially in the town of Aremholt where you are from."
The honey-sweet voice came from behind and made Ciri flinch in surprise. All her senses must have been numbed and dulled by everything that had happened.
"Hi Nephele", said Eos. A beautiful woman with long and thick black hair swept past Ciri. She embraced him and kissed him right on his mouth.
Ciri's first thought was fucking bitch he's mine.
Nephele's dress was scandalous. A purple long dress, with slits up to her hips and had a completely bareback. It was semi-transparent and tightened around her bottom and bosom, which left little to the imagination.
Ria looked on amused with a big smile.
Nephele turned to Ciri and held out her hand. "We have much to talk about. Would you care to join me for a cup of tea at my pavilion later?" It was clear that one would have to share her master with others... no matter how much she resented it.
Nephele's big eyes were deep golden. In some ways, she was like herself, an otherworldly beauty with physical perfection that came from high cultivation.
Two men approached the growing group. One had long black hair and, the other had long almost, snow-white hair. Both were really good-looking, masculine, and very well built. Their cultivation was at least as high as her own primary Soul-Sea. Maybe higher.
They walked up and greeted and bowed deeply to Eos.
"Sect leader!"
And then walked up to Ria and, greeted her by sinking to their knees and, placing their foreheads on the ground.
"Master, how may I serve," said both of them.
It was obvious to Ciri that their loyalty was first and foremost tied to Ria, but she also knew that Eos did not demand or want this kind of honor. But Ria seemed to take it for granted.
"You may rise. This is Ciri. She's Eos's second disciple," Ria told them.
They bowed to her and, the dark-haired man continued.
"I'm Desmor and, this is Cyrus." His voice was dark and husky which made Ciri's insides tingle.
Not unexpectedly, Ria's disciples had an aura of sinfulness. They could not cultivate the night elemental, but their cultivation was not unaffected by their masters.
"There has come a group of cultivators from a sect called the Dragon Sky sect. They are recruiting disciples in Aremholt," said Cyrus.
Ria looked at Ciri and Eos with a sly smile. "Brother, don't we need to expand our sect. It would be good to have a cover. And more protection. We don't know who or what killed our relatives."
"What are you thinking now Ria?" asked Eos with a cautionary ring in his voice.
"I want this Dragon Sky sect to become an allegiant sect to the Yinpai. Can't we... take it over and make it a servant sect for Yinpai?" said Ria excited and continued.
"Why can't we infiltrate the sect. I and Aria are too well known to do it, but I'm sure You, Ciri, and Nephele could do it. If they hide their cultivation that is. I believe it was in the city of Grimholde that they have their headquarters. It's six hundred miles east of Aremholt. You can teleport and take Ciri and Nephele with you, easily."
"The Dragon Sky sect has a festival every year where they bring in new members directly to the inner circle. Provided you prove yourself worthy in the selection process. And if Eos becomes the direct disciple of a sect leader, he would be next in line to take over the leadership."
"This is something you've already planned, isn't it, Ria," said Eos.
"...Yeah, but Aria and Cora think it's a good idea too," she said hurriedly.
"When does the festival or selection start?" asked Eos.
"In two days," said Cyrus. It was clear that he too thought it was a good plan.
'No wonder' Ciri thought. Cyrus and Desmor would do whatever Ria want. Even if she came up with idiotic ideas, they would surely always support Ria.
"It's a third-rate sect. I know they have ten Greate elders with cultivation like Ciri's primary soul-sea. I don't think anyone is above the third layer of the Soul-Sea realm." said Ria.
"How many disciples do they have?" Ciri asked, and to her surprise, it was Eos who answered her.
"The sect is composed of outer disciples, inner and core disciples, and elders. It is the elders together with the core disciples who belong to the inner circle. They have about a thousand followers. But only a hundred are core disciples or elders, and they are most likely in the Nascent Realm."
It was a third-grade sect, but they had so many disciples. And Ria thought Eos could take it over? Sects were classified into five levels. Ciri didn't know all the classification rules, but to be a first-class sect, you needed to have immortal cultivators, and the number of disciples had to be several thousand. She had never heard of such a sect, just read about it. But what kind of sect was the Yinpai with several Supremes and the two immortals that Ciri had never met. Apparently, they would have helped the siblings create the Yinpai sect.
"If Cora believes in your idea, we'll give it a try," Eos said after a moment's silence.
"Cora is an immortal who helped us start Yinpai," said Eos and looking directly at Ciri with a warm smile.
