116. Hissing Breath of Disappointment

"Okay!" Laila and Riki straightened themselves and carried their respective bags on their back.

"Dad, take the strongest bat in this house, er... what is it?" she thought, "Grab one of Thomas' walking sticks he rarely uses," the fierce woman ordered. "Hit them if they dare touch me."

The father rose from his seat, following Kiki's order to take one of Thomas' crutches.

"Then, what do I do?" Thomas' index finger pointed to his own face.

"Just stay here. Your leg still hurts, right?" said Kiki.

"Hey, even though I currently have a handicap, I am an expert in Pencak Silat. Don't underestimate me!"

Kiki ignored him. She walked towards the door as her two younger siblings got ready to bolt out the moment she opened the front door. When she pulled it open, all eyes were drawn to them.
