Grabbing her older brother's hand Ahma started running down the long corridor leading away from the dining room.
Ahma kept having to pull on Eishi's arm to keep him moving since her brother slowed down again and again.
Running round a corner they reached the glass back door through which they could see the massive gardens that spanned over 100 square meters.
Pulling Eishi through the door, Ahma quickly closed the door behind him and turned to her brother, smiled, "Let's play a game.
Eishi sighed, "I don't wanna!"
Ahma grinned and slapping her brother's arm, started running away, "You're it!"
Smiling weakly, Eishi chuckled and ran after her.
Sprinting across the pateo, Ahma climbed over the railing landing on the grass behind it.
Glazing back she saw her brother close on her heels.
So in an attempt to throw him off she quickly turned around and sprinted at Eishi.
Her brother stumbled back in shock allowing her to run past him.
It went on like this for the next few hours after which Ahma called a time out.
"Eishi, don't you have to study for the entrance exams?"
The boy's eyes widened, "Shit!"
Ahma giggled and watched as her brother spirinted back into their mansion.
Deciding to pay the kitchens a visit, Ahma followed him inside.
She soon arrived before the door to the kitchens and was about to enter when the door swung open revealing a tall guy with short blond hair. A slight bit of stubble and a cook uniform.
Startled, he took a step back, "Ahma-chan, what a surprise, please come in."
She grinned and walked past the chef, her chin held high, "So what're you making for lunch."
Walking after her the chef chuckled, "Well, we're planning on making a cauliflower cream soup, as a starter, and a kingfish fillet, for the main course."
Ahma nodded and strode over to the stove, "Show me!"
The chef nodded and quickly grabbing a chair, placed it next to Ahma for her to stand on.
"Well first we need a cutting board," he said, placing a green board on the inactive stove.
"Next we need to cut our ingredient," grabbing a leek from the box next to him, the chef placed it on the cutting board, "Firstly the leek, it needs to be cut lengthwise in half and then washed."
He then quickly did that and put the leeks in their separate box, "Secondly the leek, onions and celeriac need to be cut into small cubes."
Grabbing knife from next to him the chef expertly cut them into beautiful cubes and transferred the small cubes into a box he had prepared earlier, "These are Matignon and not Mirepoix, that's why I cut them with care and preston, because these unlike mirepoix will be served with the dish."
Ahma nodded in understanding, and the chef continued, "Now we come to the main ingredient, the cauliflower, since it's so important we'll want to show it before it is eaten so what we do is we cut 10% of it into florets and steam it."
He then took the right amount from the box and started removing the flowers from the top, placing them in a box after adjusting their size.
The chef then took them over to the pressure steamer and placed them inside, setting the timer to an indefinite amount of time.
"Now I'll be checking up on that every now and then but now we need to cut the remaining Cauliflower into small pieces."
Grabbing all the cauliflower from the box he started cutting them into equally sized pieces and placing them into another separate box.
He then pulled over a stockpot, presenting her the contents, which was a ple liquid, "This will be our stock, which I'll now bring to a boil."
The chef then placed it on one of the stovetops and turned it on full heat.
"Now could you please hand me another stockpot?"
Ahma frowned but did it anyway, grabbing one from below the stove, "Here!"
The chef smiled and gladly accepted the pot placing it on the stove, "Thank you, now we heat it up and glaze the matignon in butter."
Turning the stove's heat up he placed 30 grams of butter inside.
It was soon ready and he started to glaze the prepared matignon. Now we'll start glazing the Matignon, and as soon as that's done we'll add the cauliflower."
Which he did by adding the massive amount of cauliflower to the pot.
After that it took them another 40 minutes to finish the soup and prepare it for lunch.
Ahma grinned as she helped pour the soup into the prepared porcelain tureen.
She watched as the servers took the soup bowls from the pass and started transporting them into the dining room.
Skipping after them she entered the high ceilings hall.
"AHMA!"
She stiffened, the white-haired haired man at the head of the table was glaring at her, rage apparent in his eyes, "WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT ENTERING THE KITCHEN?"
The small girl gulped and slowly walked over to her seat at the table.
"I ASKED YOU, WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT ENTERING THE KITCHEN?" he roared, slamming his fist on the table.
"You told me never to go in…" she muttered into the silence.
"Then why did you do it!" he asked, entoning every syllable.
She gulped as she sat down, "I-I wanted to learn h-how to cook."
Clenching his fist the man was about to shout at her again when his wife placed her delicate palm on his, "Dear, please calm down, she's only a child."
She then turned to Ahma and smiled, "Sweetheart, please apologise to your father."
This seemed to enrage the man, "DON'T YOU DARE CALL ME HER FATHER, YOU WHORE!"
He then raised his hand and swung at his wife, she was knocked to the floor a large red welt forming on her cheek.
Ahma felt a small hand grab her and pull her away.
She tried to resist but the person pulling her was too strong and easily removed her from the dining hall.
Teares wher now flowing from her eyes as she desperately tried to reach her mother but the large white doors closed barring her view.
