I followed closely behind Jacob, with cars occasionally rushing by me. I watched them with trepidation as these giant metal boxes seemed to be speeding towards me, about to crash into me, only to then continue on the road. I wanted to grab onto Jacob's arm, but I knew it made him uncomfortable, so I held back, only grabbing onto the sleeve on the side farther from the road.

We kept walking, crossing one road along the way. Then we arrived at an even bigger road. Here the cars and even larger vehicles were rushing by one after the other, with little pause between them. I clutched Jacob's sleeve even more tightly, and turned my head away from the road. I knew it should be perfectly safe. The sidewalk was full of pedestrians, and the cars were staying on the road without hitting anyone, but the rush of sound as each one seemed to come directly at me was too much.

"Would you like to stop and sit down?" Jacob asked. I nodded.
