"Today we're going to learn how to ride a bus", Jacob cheerfully told me over breakfast.

He was wearing the new clothes I made for him. They fit him surprisingly well, considering that I didn't take his measurements. He told me that they were "amazing", but I had my doubts. Something about them still looked too Prandian and out of place when compared to his usual attire.

"Don't you have work?" I asked. Jacob made a dismissive gesture with his hand.

"I took the day off", he said.

I followed him to the bus stop. When the bus he wanted arrived, he gestured for me to enter first, but I hesitated. I'd been in carts before, but that was it. I'd never been in a horse-drawn carriage, much less a horseless one, and this metal beast was even more alien than those.

"Nu? Lady, are you getting on or not?", the driver urged me impatiently.
