Consummation

When we got out of the elevator Jacob took the key card out of his pocket, looked around to see which direction our room was in, and then bent down and swept me off my feet and into his arms. It put our faces very close together.

"Hey, what are you doing!?"

"That dress makes you look like a princess, so of course I have to carry you like one."

"I'm not a princess, so don't call me - Mmnnfff"

He bent down to silence me with a kiss. I wrapped my arms around his neck, not only to pull him more deeply into the kiss, but because with the way he was carrying me I felt like I might fall. After a few seconds Jacob withdrew his lips and stared into my eyes.

"You're right, you're not a princess. In our house we are the king and queen. It's our children who will be the little princes and princesses."
