Seven Blessings

Even if Jacob wanted to stay in bed for the rest of the day, he couldn't. Our stomachs were empty and it was getting late. If we didn't go to the breakfast hall, we would miss it entirely. We quickly dug out our everyday clothes from our luggage and I disguised myself as an ordinary human. Although it was unusual for me, I chose a combination of a blouse and a short skirt that was barely long enough to cover my knees since it was more convenient for certain things, and I knew Jacob would like it.

This time, however, instead of the narrow head covering I usually wore, I wrapped all my hair inside a headscarf, making it stand in a tower above my head. It also had the advantage of hiding my ears without having to flatten them, and covering the place where my human ears should have been.
